Mixed into Love (Bachelorette Party #3)(11)

By:Rochelle Paige

"C'mon," I urged him.

We grabbed our wrist bands and headed to the Summit Skyride first. We'd made it to the park right when it opened so there weren't a lot of people around, and we had the high-speed cable car to ourselves.

"I'm a little nervous," I admitted softly. "I've never been on something like this before."

"It's okay, baby. I'm right here with you," he assured me, pulling me into his side and wrapping his arm around me. As we rode up to the top of the mountain, we stayed nestled together. Each time I looked out the window, Dane distracted me with a kiss. By the time we made it to the top, the cable car was the last thing on my mind. All I could think about was finding excuses to get Dane's lips on me again.

Then we stepped off the cable car and made our way through the building and back outside. The views were stunning from eight hundred and twenty-five feet above the ground. Especially when we reached the edge to stare out at the Atlanta skyline.

"I've lived here for three and a half years, and I never realized how gorgeous the city was."

"I'm sure it's beautiful, but it doesn't hold a candle to what I've got my sights on."

I turned my head his way and found him staring at me instead of the amazing view. "Stop," I laughed, pulling his head down to be able to reach his lips. The kiss started off gently, my mouth brushing against his lightly before I swiped my tongue across his bottom lip. Then his mouth opened, and he took control. The kiss grew more demanding. More passionate. It spun wildly out of control. We were both panting for breath and didn't lift our heads again until we heard the sounds of a conversation drifting our way.

"Whoops, I kind of forgot where we were for a minute there."

"Only a minute? I guess I'll have to do better next time." He grinned at me, completely unconcerned about us having an audience.

"One of the things I like the most about the time we spend together is how much fun I have with you."

"So it isn't all the orgasms I give you?"

I heard a gasp from behind me, but I didn't turn around. I didn't want to know who'd overheard him. Instead, I yanked on his arm and headed back to the cable car area. "I think you need to work off some of your spare energy. You're a bit too smart-mouthed this morning."

"Only because I didn't get to work off my energy the way I like this morning," he grumbled as we climbed onto the cable car.

I'd woken up before him and snuck into the shower to get ready, which meant we didn't share one like we'd done all week long. But I'd wanted to get to the park when they opened to avoid the crowds, and showering with him slowed me down big-time since he spent as much time dirtying me up as we did getting clean again. "You snooze, you lose, bucko."

We explored the rest of the park over the next couple of hours. We played a round of mini-golf, which I somehow won-probably because Dane let me. Then we took a ride on their full-size locomotive train. It had open-air cars and circled the mountain for about five miles. The trip lasted about half an hour, and we spent about twenty-five minutes of it kissing. Then we headed out on a tour in an open-air vehicle that went from land to water and back again. The tour guide was fantastic, and I was blown away by the idea that we were able to take a cruise on Stone Mountain Lake without having to change vehicles. I even got to take the wheel and drive it for a couple of minutes. It was wild!

Afterwards, we headed to their ropes courses that went through the treetops. I'd never done a hike like it before, and I was even more nervous about it than I'd been about the cable car when we first arrived.

"Let's do the highest one," Dane suggested, moving us into the line for it after they'd strapped us into harnesses.

"I don't know about this," I muttered when we passed the first course about twelve feet up. Then we reached the next one, twenty-four feet off the ground, and my knees started to shake. When we finally got to the top, a full forty feet in the air, my whole body was trembling.

"I'll be right behind you," he assured me.

I stepped out on the wooden plank in front of me and barely made it across. My legs felt like limp noodles, and I held onto the rope attached to the rig above me so hard it left an imprint on my hands. Dane didn't have the same problem as me, reaching me without breaking a sweat.

I took one look at the single rope stretched between the platforms in front of me, and I knew there was no way in hell I was going to make it across. Not even with the vertical ropes stretched taut every couple of feet to hold onto. On the side for people to come back this way, there was another wooden plank. I switched directions and headed across it since nobody was coming back that way. It still took me as long as Dane to make it across, and the next section was even worse because there wasn't an easy option on that one.
