Make Me (Sterling Shore Series #10)(27)

By:C.M. Owens

No, I can't relax.

As if reading my inner thoughts, Dale smirks and he starts kissing me, deep and hard, the tip of his cock still resting at just my entrance. After a few minutes, I feel myself relaxing into him, and I kiss him in earnest as my legs come up.

Almost immediately, he thrusts in deep, and my breath flies out of my lungs in surprise. With his mouth sealed over mine, he drinks in the gasp, and he groans in response as his lips and tongue drive me into a frenzy beneath him.

My hands are still restrained above my head, and I struggle, wanting to touch him. Needing to feel him.

He finally releases them and he slaps a hand to the bed beside my head before lifting himself off me just enough to grab my hip, giving him more leverage to thrust in harder. He hits a spot deeper inside me as the grind of his pelvis against mine does incredible things.

He rubs harder against me on every down stroke, and my eyes try to cross at all the pleasure assaulting me at once. Only one of his hands is touching me, yet it feels like I can feel them roaming all over my body.

It's too intense. Too surreal. And when his eyes lock onto mine, lust pooling in their depths, it becomes painfully intimate.

I whisper his name, unable to manage a stronger sound. The explosive build in my center grows more demanding and desperate, and I start writhing against him, clawing at his shoulders to get impossible closer as I grind.

He curses, his rhythm growing faster, and his thrusts getting even harder. It feels too good.

Then I crash off an edge so steep, feeling so damn good that I can't make a sound. My mouth opens in a silent scream as waves of pleasure wash over me, and my vision actually dims.

It's so powerful that it almost hurts. But it's a hurt-so-good sort of pain that I could get high on.

Dale's hips jerk against me, and he groans as he shudders, slowly rocking his hips lazily before he drops to my body. Fortunately, he keeps the bulk of his weight off me, and my legs tremble against his hips as the aftershocks-yes! I have aftershocks!-set in.

"So much better," he murmurs against my neck, "than I thought possible."

I grin as he kisses the sensitive flesh below my ear, and he drags his lips up tenderly, giving me the affection I worried would be lacking. I've never been one for cuddling-usually too busy or unconcerned with more than just the release.

But with Dale? I could stay trapped under him all day, content to just be in his arms.

"Stay the night?" he asks softly.

My grin spreads to be massive, and I nod.

"Was that a yes?" he asks, his head still under my chin.

I giggle. I freaking giggle.

"Yes," I say, chuckling again.

He slowly pulls out of me, a pleased smile on his lips and his eyes lightly glazed over. I put that smile there. Me. Harley Hayden.

"I'll get you something to wear," he says before leaning forward and kissing me.

His cock jumps against my hip, and I moan into the kiss as it grows hard again.

"Already?" I say with a smile against his lips.

"It's been a while," he confesses, a smirk growing as he stands and pulls the condom off, grabbing another one from the box he left on the bed. "I'll get you clothes later," he says as he tosses the used condom into the trash can and starts rolling down the fresh one.

"Or not," I say, grinning as he slides back over me and pushes in deep.

"I'll slow it down this time," he says before his lips reclaim mine.

And then my mind goes blank as I give myself over to the sensations enrapturing my body. My addiction just got a lot worse.

And I don't even care.

Chapter 25

HARLEY

I won't lie and say I'm not nervous.

I don't have the best experience with stepping into a group of girls. But I can manage. I think.

I don't do social things. Like ever.

In the past, I had arrangements with sex. Not relationships. No, no; I didn't pay for sex. Well, not in the gigolo form of the word. I ended up paying for most of the dates, but never with Dale.

In fact, Dale has yet to let me do anything I normally do with a guy.

And I like it. I like feeling like I can just … be. I like feeling as though I don't have to control every situation because I have a partner who is just as capable.

Way too soon to be thinking like that.

But that's what happens when you spend the night in the arms of Dale Sterling. He makes you stupid or drunk or high or something. I barely convinced myself to leave the bed, even though he slept through me sneaking out and going home to get ready.

There's a large group of women taking up a massive round table in the back. Holy shit!

Rain is there, letting me know that's our table. But …

How many freaking women are in this group of friends? I thought it was going to be four, maybe five, tops.

Taking a deep breath, I make my way across the crowded room, eyeing two of the empty chairs. Rain smiles and gestures for me to take the one beside her.

But with her attention comes numerous pairs of eyes and bright smiles all pointed at me.

"You must be Harley," someone says as I take the seat by Rain.

You'd think I was an elusive creature they've heard of for years instead of just over a week.

"I am," I say, giving a small wave to the unknown woman.

"I'm Brin," she states, smiling broader. "You're a game designer?"

I nod, even though my title is actually a little different and more prominent than that. I don't want to sound douchey by correcting her.

"I pictured nerdy guys with terrible body odor, and Cheese Puff dust all over their hands and clothes."

I laugh and inwardly grimace. Yeah, I've looked my worst before, Cheese Puff dust and all. She's not ready to hear about that. I'm not ready to tell it.

Let them think I'm always this cleaned up and polished.

Looking around, I notice they're all so tiny. Like little China dolls. Brin, though she's tiny, looks more like she's been playing in the yard as opposed to coming to a nice restaurant.

Again, I keep my mouth shut instead of asking invasive, possibly offensive questions.

"Let's just roll introductions out of the way," Rain says, still smiling genuinely at my side. "That's Carmen," she says, pointing to the striking blonde immediately to her left. "Then Maggie. Brin, of course. Ruby," she says, and Ruby gives me a wink when some elderly lady walks by, gawking at the full sleeves of red and blue roses Ruby is displaying.

I hold in a small laugh, and the entire table takes a second to smile before Rain continues.

"You met Ash last night. And you know Tria," Rain says, but I almost forgot Tria had black hair, so I completely overlooked her. She smiles at me, and I do that little wave once more.

"Raya," she says, gesturing to the pretty brunette who has a hint of a smile that seems strained.

"Allie," she goes on, gesturing to the other striking blonde who beams at me.

"And Bo," she says, gesturing to the girl on my right.

I study her. "You look familiar," I say to Bo, struggling to weave together where I've seen her before.

"If you remember me from some drunken frat party or something, it wasn't me. It was my twin. Even if it was me, let's pretend it was my twin," she says, then smiles to let me know she's kidding. Then she grimaces when I just stare blankly, clueless as to what she's even kidding about. "I really suck in groups. Sorry."

I shake my head, not wanting to continue staring. I like that she seems to think she sucks in groups. She and I might actually get along for that very reason.

Rain opens her mouth to say something, when a new woman plops down in the final empty seat. Her really tight dress makes me think that very small little bump is a baby bump.

"I'm barely into the second trimester, and already I'm peeing like a drunk sorority girl during rush week," she says, causing my eyebrows to go up. Her eyes focus on no one specifically. "I mean, it's more annoying than having a papercut on your favorite bean-flicking finger after your wand dies."

My mouth opens and closes as the girl named Allie groans and shakes her head.

"Really, Bella?" Ruby asks, wrinkling her nose. "You had to paint that picture."

"I just wanted to give you an accurate line of understanding. It isn't pure misery-yet-but it's annoying as hell."

"And this is Bella," Rain says, gesturing to the pregnant girl whose eyes pop over to meet mine, not an ounce of shame there.

"Hi," she says, thrusting her hand out.

I eye it warily, hesitating, and the entire table erupts into giggles as Bella withdraws her hand, grimacing as a soft red stains her cheeks now.

"Right. Sorry. Guess I shouldn't talk about flicking the bean and try to shake hands immediately after. For the record, I totally wash my hands after each-"

"So, how do you like Sterling Shore?" Allie interrupts, focusing all her attention on me as Bella starts guzzling water.

"It's nice," I say, wondering why they all want to stare at me right now.

After a beat, Tria clears her throat. "So Dale seemed happy last night." She beams at me. "It's great to see you two together. You make a good pair."

Again, I hate all the attention being on me.

"It's a little early, and things are moving fast," I say. When eyebrows arch, I rush to add, "But I like him. And I like that things are moving fast."
