Lumberjack Weekend(Divine Creek Ranch 21)(55)

“I guess I acted like a total neophyte,” she murmured, her cheeks catching fire and spreading to her throat, imagining how awkward she must’ve seemed.

Gabriel shook his head. “Not at all. It was…You were…”

“Hot?” Greg quipped, dodging Carter’s attempt to pop him on the back of the head. “Incendiary? Sexy? It’s a good thing we found those little woodland nymphs Joseph had promised us earlier after your scene. Otherwise, I’d still be in the shower spanking the monkey. What?” he said without a trace of defensiveness when Roland gave him a look of disgust.

Gabriel pretended Greg hadn’t interrupted again and said, “A lot has happened for you—”

“To you—” Greg quipped, nodding as he tugged at his jeans to get more comfortable.

“Shut up!” everyone said at once to Greg, who threw up his arms around his head, laughing, and Violet couldn’t help but join him, feeling grateful he’d provided a little bit of comic relief to a tense moment. He winked at her as if he knew what she was thinking.

“You were willing to share your first ménage with us, Violet, and we just wanted to spend more time with you this evening. No strings attached.”

Reality tried to crowd in at the particular phrase. No strings attached. And none between her and Josh and Lucas either. That was what they’d agreed to. She’d go back to work on Monday, and so would they. And these guys? It was likely she’d never see them again.

Reality could wait until Monday morning, she thought, shoving those thoughts back and focusing on Josh and Lucas, and the men sitting across from her. “What do you get out of this?”

Greg chuckled, although there wasn’t any amusement in his eyes. “A reminder that sometimes making someone else’s fantasy come true is its own reward, even when what we had planned for ourselves goes sour.”

“That sounds sad,” she said, wishing to comfort them. “You can stay, if you don’t mind that you’re not getting any action—at least not from me.” She turned to Lucas. “Is that okay?”

“Of course.”

“Josh?”

“Sure. As long as they understand your boundaries, and ours.”

Josh and Lucas spent the beginning of the evening taking turns feeding her with their fingers while chatting with the four men. Violet tried to wrap her mind around why they would rather spend time with her, off limits as she was, rather than partaking of the attention of the single women in attendance.

Lucas whispered in her ear, “I think they have crushes on you, baby. It’s got to be a hard comedown to find out your fantasy doesn’t measure up to the real thing, and they got to see the real thing this morning.”

Heat filled her cheeks, and she glanced at the four of them to find they were all smiling at her.

The haunting strains of soft music drew their attention, and the lights dimmed as three women drifted into the room clad in veils, followed by three men. The women’s bare bodies were visible beneath the veils, and when they moved closer, it became clear the men were clad only in nude-colored loincloths.

She blinked and looked back at her men, and Josh caught her staring at him.

He grinned. “Enjoy the show, baby girl. Looks like you’re off the hook for the moment.”

She leaned closer to him and whispered, “About Gabriel and his friends…”

“Yes?”

“I don’t know what to do with them.”

He smiled at her, seeming unsurprised. “Lucas is right. It sounds to me like their weekend didn’t work out the way they wanted it to, and they realized what was missing when they watched us. I’m not enjoying the way they eat you up with their eyes but I believe them when they say they don’t expect anything sexual from you.”

“So…what you’re saying is…what? I should play with them?”

She had both their attention with the question, and Lucas glanced at Josh before he said, “This is your fantasy weekend. They helped bring our fantasy to life, and I, for one, don’t mind if you reciprocate—a little.”

She grinned and pecked his cheek. “Aw, was your fantasy coming true this morning, too?”

Josh’s chest rumbled, and he looked directly at her. “In a big way, baby girl. Never doubt it. We loved taking care of you, and I think they must feel the same sort of fulfillment. You don’t have to worry about us becoming jealous if you want to be sweet to them. Just realize they’re probably half in love with you.”

She drew back from him, frowning, looked between him and Lucas, who nodded in confirmation, and said, “I’m not sure I know what to do.” Her heart pounded, both with anxiety and arousal. The truth was that she wanted to play a little, but the last thing she wanted was to hurt one of those men.
