Kwame & Kyhanna(15)

Kwame text me as Ahmad dropped us off at Tameeka's house.

Where are you? I think we need to talk about things.

I'm definitely not in the mood to talk about anything Kwame.

I just wasn't in the mood to talk about what happened at the party or what my mom just did to me. I just wanted to go to sleep.

"Kyhanna I'm here for you. If you wanna talk about it then you can talk about it with me."

"I know I can talk to you but I'm just not ready to do this tonight. I'm  gonna just go and lay down." I said as I walked toward her room.

"That's fine sis. You can take my room tonight and I'll be out here in the morning so we can talk."

"Okay."

I threw on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt and laid in Tameeka's bed  contemplating my next move and right now I didn't have shit. My mother  making such an impulsive move had completely messed my life up.

Charmaine

Chapter 5

I knew there was a reason that Kwame's ass was trying to get me to stay  home with our son rather than go to Marquis' party. So I had something  for his ass. If he thought I was going to just be stupid and stay at  home without trying to keep up with my original plans then he had  another thing coming.

I had tried to call my bestie K'Seana the day before the party and  usually she was always accessible but when she went missing in action I  knew something was up. It's cool. I ended up calling my mama and she  said she could actually watch my son so it ended up working out anyway. I  didn't even bother to tell Kwame that I had found a babysitter at the  last minute. I wanted him to think that I was going to be at home that  way whatever he had planned to do I could catch his ass right in the  middle of it.

I played it cool all day and made it seem like I was staying at home  with KJ. I even cleaned up the house and made some food to really make  him think that I would be in the house all night and when he left I  began putting my plan in motion. Once Kwame left the house, I drove my  son to the south side and dropped him off at my mother's apartment. I  then went back home and changed into the outfit that I wanted to wear to  Marquis' party and then I made the trip over to where the party was.  Kwame hadn't bothered to text me since he'd left the house and I just  had the weirdest feeling that this dude was up to something. Since Kwame  and I had first gotten together he had a reputation of having other  bitches around on the side and that shit truly pisses me off. The last  chick I caught him with was Selina and I swear I almost killed him  because I had accused him and her of messing around before and he swore  up and down wasn't nothing going on until I went through his phone one  night and saw an entire thread of messages from the both of them and  when I sent the messages to my phone and showed him that I knew then he  couldn't deny shit. He told me I was fucking crazy for going through his  personal messages but I didn't care. I knew he was lying and I was  determined to catch him in his lie just like I had been determined to  catch him in a lie now.

When I pulled up to Marquis' house I had to park several houses away  since there were so many people at the party. Parking so far away didn't  bother me since I didn't want anyone picking up on the fact that I'd  come in the first place. I didn't want anyone telling Kwame that I was  there because then he would try to clean up his shit real nice before he  saw me and then once again I would look like the crazy, delusional  girlfriend like he always made me out to be.

The minute I parked my car I could literally feel my blood boiling. I  was hot and until I could physically get inside and see what Kwame was  up to I wouldn't be calm. I knew how I got when I had a hunch about  something and most of the time I was always right. I really hoped I was  wrong this time though. I walked into the house and immediately saw that  there were people from wall to wall. Finding Kwame was gonna be more  difficult than I thought but I was up for the challenge. I walked around  the main floor of the house and walked around from group to group  checking for him and I didn't see him anywhere on the first floor so I  decided to go down to the basement.

The DJ had the music blasting and the party seemed to be even more  turned up than it was upstairs and I knew that this was exactly where  Kwame was. I walked down each step I prayed I would be able to keep my  cool and not beat a bitch's ass for being all over my man. When I got  down to the landing I immediately locked eyes with Khamani and he gave  me the craziest look which let me know that his brother was there and  was doing some shit that he wasn't supposed to be doing. I followed to  where his eyes had diverted and made a b-line straight to where his  trifling ass brother was. Once I got closer to where Kwame was located  it was apparent that he was all up on some bitch letting her pop her  coochie all over him like they were having sex on the dancefloor.

"Oh hell naw! Kwame who the fuck is this bitch!" I said as I rolled up  directly on him. If looks could kill he would be six feet under. He  looked as though he'd seen a ghost and I was glad I was able to catch  his ass in the act. Now there was no way he could deny and make me look  anything but right on point.

"Come on Char. Don't even be like that. You not even supposed to be here."

"Why so you can be all hugged up on the next bitch? Why you staring your  eyes are not failing you sweetheart I am his girlfriend." I announced  to the thot that was standing there looking like her little hopes and  dreams of having a man were just cancelled. I don't even know what ended  up happening to her but she ended up disappearing just as fast as I  appeared. She probably knew I wasn't one to be fucked with and I was  glad she left because I really wasn't in the mood to fight anybody. I  was too cute that night to beat a bitch down. Kwame grabbed me by my arm  and we went outside on the patio to talk. I could tell that Kwame was  pissed but I didn't care. I should be the one upset not him. He was just  mad he got caught.

"Why the fuck you always gotta come somewhere and show out? Huh?"

"Because you always somewhere doing something with some ratchet ass bitch embarrassing me." I replied.

"You wasn't even supposed to be here Char. Where's my son at anyway?"  Kwame asked. I knew he wasn't going to be happy when he heard my answer  but whatever. Right now I didn't even give a fuck.

"He's with my mother. And the only reason you ain't want me here was  because you knew you was gonna be all up on some bitch. So you fucking  her Kwame?"

"Man listen I'm not doing anything with that girl … I don't owe you an explanation anyway. Why is my son with your mother?"

"Because she said she could watch him that's why."

"Now you know that's the last place I want my son to be. Go over there and get my son now."

"Whatever Kwame. That's all you have to say for yourself?"

"Yup. Go and get my son Charmaine."

"You know what? Fuck you Kwame! I'm out." I said as I walked away from  Kwame leaving his ass standing right there looking dumb. I didn't want  my son over my mother house for too long either so I did go and get my  son and then I went back to grab some things from the house before I  called my new little situation.

"You know what? I was just thinking about you. Where you at?"

"On my way to you. Me and KJ need to crash at your crib tonight if that's okay with you."

"Come through. I'm here." My boo thang replied and hearing him say that  was music to my ears. I had only known Tee for a few months but I had  been feeling him ever since I met him. Thank God his place wasn't far  from where I was because all I wanted to do was put my son to bed and  relax with Tee. I needed to get my mind off the things that just went  down with Kwame and Tee proved to be just the distraction I needed.

The whole entire ride to Tee's house KJ talked my ear off non-stop about  all of the foolishness that he saw over my mother's house and that was  the main reason why I used my mom as a babysitter as my absolute last  resort. My mother always had too many people in and out of her house and  my son ended up seeing way too much. That's why I hated my son being  over there but with Kwame pulling the move he did he left me with no  other choice than to go to extreme measures. By the time I pulled in  Tee's driveway KJ had knocked his own self out. I made sure I lifted my  son as softly and quietly as I could and draped him over my shoulder.  The last thing I wanted to do was wake my son up because if he woke up  right now then my little adult time would have drastically come to an  end. Once I got to the front door, I knocked lightly on his door. I had  to knock a few times before he actually answered the door.
