Kwame & Kyhanna(12)

By:Chante Amor

"Have you ever told your mom this nigga is creepy as shit?"

"Naw, not really. I'm not even worried about his ass actually even doing  anything ‘cuz his dick can't even get hard anymore unless he take a  pill."

"Tameeka, how the hell do you know that?" I asked curious to know how in the world she found that piece of information out.

"Let's just say I've heard my mom mention it on more than one occasion because his pills don't work all the time."

"Aww shit, that's gotta be embarrassing."

"Yes it probably is but that's my momma's fault for having such a loud ass mouth. I shouldn't know this shit."

"Truly."

"So go and get dressed so I can hurry up and do your hair. Ahmad said he coming to get us in like thirty minutes."

"Okay cool."

I grabbed my outfit and walked down the hall to the bathroom to put on  my clothes. I had picked out a black leather crop top and some  high-waisted acid wash jeans that matched perfectly with it. I also had a  mixed print jacket that set off the entire outfit and I put on a pair  of my black Nike Wedge sneakers to top everything off. When I came back  down the hallway and walked in Tameeka's bedroom, she immediately had a  smile on her face.

"Bitch, you look hot! Turn around and let me see your outfit."

I turned around and gave her a preview of my ensemble and my bestie shook her head in agreement.

"I love it. Your outfit says that you're cute and definitely shows your  shape but is not doing too much. And look at your stomach, it's so flat.  I wish my stomach was still flat. Two years ago mine looked just like  yours but Quentin changed all that." Tameeka said as she rubbed her tiny  little pouch that was barely visible. My best friend could be so hard  on herself sometimes but in my opinion she looked so good after having a  baby.

"Girl, you look good please quit being hard on yourself and yeah it's  time for you to flat iron this hair so we not late." I reminded her.

"Come on. I already plugged my flat iron in so let's go."

Tameeka did such a great job flat ironing my hair that it looked as  though I had a perm. After she finished flat ironing my bra strap length  hair she applied light makeup to my face and when she told me to step  in front of the mirror that sat on her dresser, I couldn't do anything  but smile.

"Whoa. I don't think I've ever worn makeup until just now."

"Well I don't know why not. It looks great on you. I bet Kwame gonna love it too."

"You think so?"

"Hell yeah. I can't wait until he see your sexy ass at the party. He gonna scoop you up for sure."

"We'll see." I replied and then Meeka received a text from Ahmad saying  that he was outside. We both grabbed our purses, did a once over in the  mirror and then headed for the front door.

"Bye Auntie Kyh." Quentin said as he ran up and grabbed my leg so he  could hug it. He then walked over to his mom and gave her a kiss.

"Bye Mommy."

"Bye Q. Be good for Ced okay?"

"Okay." He replied and then went off down the hall playing with his  toys. Cedric pulled the newspaper he'd been reading down far enough so  he could look at us and with lust in his eyes he said, "Y'all have fun  tonight. And bye Kyhanna." He winked and licked his lips and I didn't  bother to respond. I had enough of his greasy ass for one night and was  glad Tameeka's dude had come to pick us up. If we stayed any longer I  probably would've embarrassed his ass about his short coming and then it  would've been all bad from there but I chose to keep that information  to myself until I needed to whip it out on him.

When we got into Ahmad's Lexus all we could smell was weed smoke and the stench caused Tameeka to immediately go off.

"Can't you not smoke for one fucking night Ahmad? I mean you know we  going to the party. We don't wanna go up in there smelling like straight  loud." Meeka said as she rolled her eyes.

"Meeka, here you go with that bullshit. You don't have a problem with me  smoking any other time. Why flip out today? Chill, I'll just roll down  the windows. You'll be alright."

"Whatever nigga just get us to the damn party." Meeka commanded. Ahmad  just shook his head, turned up his music and started driving in the  direction of Marquis house. He stayed on the Upper East Side behind John  White Park where there was an exclusive neighborhood of homes reserved  for those who weren't just getting by. Marquis and Malik still lived  with their mother. His mom was a traveling nurse and stayed gone for  weeks at a time and they mostly were there with their drunk uncle who  didn't care if they turned up as long as they kept his drinks flowing  then he didn't care. They usually waited until their mother left to go  out of town to host parties and with the space their mom had in the  finished basement it became the perfect spot to have a party. Usually  anybody who was somebody was at Quis parties and his party would be the  place to be if you wanted to be seen by all the important people.

When Ahmad pulled up to Marquis and Malik's house, it was apparent that  this party wouldn't be any different. There were so many people walking  in and out the house that I knew the party must be live on the inside.  We hopped out of Ahmad's car and Tameeka waited for her boo to get out  of the car but was surprised when he never did.

"Babe, are you gonna get out the car sometime today?" she asked.

"Naw. I'm not going in. I got some business to handle. Tell Quis I said  what up. I'll pick y'all up when you ready. Just call me." Ahmad said  and drove off without even giving Tameeka a chance to respond. We  watched as Ahmad's car disappeared down the street and it was clear that  my girl was pissed off.

"I swear I can't stand this nigga sometimes. Now he swore up and down he  was coming with me to the party and now he done switched up his plans  again."

"Yeah, I thought he was coming to the party."

"Apparently not. Let's go inside." Tameeka said as we walked past the  crowd of people who were standing outside and then walked in the house.  There were people everywhere. I mean everywhere I looked I saw people.  We heard music coming from somewhere and a random girl standing by the  stairs must've been able to read the looks on our faces because before  we could ask she was telling us that the majority of everyone was in the  basement. We walked down the flight of carpeted steps and revealed a  basement that had to be bigger than the entire top of the house. The  basement was completely finished and had been designed to be one big  room full of entertainment. Marquis and Malik definitely knew how to  throw a party. There was a DJ set up in the corner with his turn tables  keeping the party jumpin' and there was another area just designated for  food and drinks. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

"Tameeka, Marquis definitely knows how to throw a party. This is a nice  ass house." I said as I looked around and continued checking out my  surroundings. I didn't give Malik any credit for this fly ass party  because he was lame and wasn't capable of even pulling off something  like this. My eyes scanned around the room and saw Malik standing near  his brother in the opposite end of the room. I desperately wanted to get  to a place where I could just chill and he not see me but it was  already too late. The minute he locked eyes with mine he made it a point  to walk over to me acting like I was checking for him or something.  Tameeka saw him walking in our direction and she immediately got pissed.

"This is another motherfucka I can't stand."

"I'm glad you were able to make it Kyhanna. Hey Tameeka." Malik said as I  looked over at my best friend who was rolling her eyes.

"Hey Malik. Kyh, I'm gonna be over here." Tameeka said as she pointed to  where the food was and was gone before I was able to make up an excuse  and join her.

"Yes. I was glad I was able to come. You and your brother have a nice house." I smiled.

"Thanks. Our mother worked hard to provide us with this house. We've  lived here for a while but she's definitely made some changes to it  since we've been here." Malik explained and I could care less what he  had to say when I saw Kwame walk down the steps with his brothers.  Tameeka's eyes darted over to mine and I knew from the look on her face  that she was telling me to ditch this loser so that I could talk to  Kwame.

"Cool. Well thanks for inviting me to the party. I'm about to go over  here and chill with my home girl. Talk to you later Malik." I said as  fast as I could so that I could get away from him and get back to my  bestie. Kwame hadn't even seen me yet and I didn't want him to see me  standing there talking to Malik like he was my man when he clearly was  not. Like the idiot Malik was he couldn't figure out that I was done  talking to his ass. So when I tried to walk away he grabbed my arm  pulling me back in his direction.
