Kissing Reno(Brac Village 3)(41)

His mate licked his lips as he touched Reno’s face with his fingers, his eyes filled with love. “Now that is breaking in the place as ours.”

Reno chuckled as he nuzzled his mate’s neck with his face, feeling elated that he was now sharing his life with his mate. Yes, he had been a loner for a very long time, but having Baker in his life showed Reno that he could enjoy life with another person, someone he truly cared about.

“The bathroom is the next room on my list.”

“That is so gross,” Baker said as his eyes sparkled with merriment. “Not on your life.”

“I’m pretty sure I can change your mind.”

Baker smacked at Reno’s chest, a small laugh escaping him. “We’ll see about that.”

Reno just couldn’t get over how much he loved Baker. The man was truly his other half. “We need to get dressed. Your dad will be by any minute.” It was Sunday, and Richard Cross had confirmed that he would be over. Reno had ordered an extra dinner for Baker’s father.

Baker gave a small nod and then laid his head on the floor, his eyes back to normal and a happy little smile on his face. Reno eased from Baker and then planted a kiss on his mate’s lips. He brushed his hand over Baker’s head as he smiled. “Do you know how much I love you?”

He could see that he had caught his mate off guard. Baker looked stunned and then he smiled. “Just about as much as I love you.”

Giving Baker another kiss, Reno pushed from the floor, walking to the guest bathroom down the hall. He needed a quick washup and then he would be ready for company. “Come on, lazy ass, get dressed,” he called out to his mate.

He ran the water in the sink, splashing it onto his heated face before he reached behind him and grabbed a towel. Once he was cleaned up, he took the warm cloth to Baker and cleaned his mate.

Baker still lay there, looking half asleep. Reno chuckled. The guy was hopeless. “If you don’t get up, I’m going to let your dad in and tell him you’re in the kitchen.”

Baker opened his eyes and then narrowed them. “You wouldn’t!”

No, Reno wouldn’t, but he wasn’t going to admit that to Baker. He reached down and helped his mate to his feet, pulling the deliciously naked man into his arms. “I just can’t seem to get enough of you.”

Baker smiled. “That’s because I have such a hot body.”

That he did. Reno wasn’t going to argue that point. “And because you have the sweetest lips I’ve ever tasted.” He backed up his statement with a deep, passion-filled kiss. Reno was getting hard all over again, but knew they didn’t have time for round two. As much as he would have loved to take his mate all over again, they needed to get dressed.

Reno broke the kiss, smiling down at the man who meant the world to him. “Your dad is going to be here—” Reno’s head snapped up when the doorbell rang. “Oh shit.”

They both laughed together as they dressed. Reno couldn’t get the smile off of his face. He was happy. Walking into Sweet Delight had changed his life. Reno would be forever grateful that his boss had a sweet tooth because he found the sweetest thing of all.

Baker.

Reno stepped out onto the back porch, cell phone in hand as he took a seat. The morning light was just filtering in over the trees, the birds singing all around.

He flipped his phone open and dialed his parents’ home. He was going to have to take Baker to meet them, but that was for another time. They lived far enough away.

“When were you going to call me?” his mother chastised him. “I could have sworn you said you would call as soon as you settled in.”

Reno smiled. God, how he missed his mother. “I’m fine, Mom. Is Dad there?”

She clucked her tongue. “You better come for a visit…soon. I miss you.”

Reno waited and then heard his dad’s burly tone come over the line. “Son?”

“Hey, Pop.”

“You know you had your mother worried.” That wasn’t Reno’s intention. Everything seemed too happy so quickly that he hadn’t a chance to call. Too much had been going on.

“I found my mate.”

His father was silent for a moment and then chuckled. “Congratulations. When are you going to bring her by?”

“Him,” Reno corrected. His parents knew he was bisexual and had never batted an eye at Reno’s lifestyle. But his dad was old school, just like Baker’s father. He automatically assumed Reno’s mate would be female.

“Oh, okay. When are you going to bring him by?”

“I need to ask you something,” he said as he rubbed his hand over the back of his neck. There was no way he was going to give his dad too many details, but he needed to know. “The mating dance.”
