She kissed him back even as she told herself this wasn’t happening and she had to stop it before it got out of hand again. Her body and heart weren’t listening to the fragment of her mind that was telling her to break away from him, to sever the connection that had her falling into his arms and moaning as they wrapped around her, caging her against his delicious body.
Loren growled. “I want you.”
Sense said to deny him that want. The rest of her moaned in agreement.
“Here,” Loren husked and grabbed her backside. He lifted her feet from the ground and kept kissing her as he walked her to the long white bench table where she had been working.
“Here?” Her eyes widened when she realised what he meant. “We can’t... not here. People will see.”
“People will not see.” His voice darkened and the blinds across the windows that lined the corridor side of the room closed, a shower of sparks exploded from the sliding glass doors, and the lights went out. “Mine now. No one will see my female but me.”
Dangerous words. She was giving him completely the wrong idea by letting him do this. She had to stop him.
He kissed down her throat, nibbling persuasively, and she forgot what she was meant to be doing and dug her fingers into his thick black hair, holding him to her.
Curse him. He said she had him under her spell but it was the other way around. Her dark elf prince had some sort of black magic at his disposal and had worked it on her, enslaving her body and her heart, making reason flee her mind whenever he touched her.
She had to stop him.
“Loren.” She had meant it to come out firm and resolute, not as a pleasure-drenched whisper that tore a moan from him in response and had him popping the buttons of her white coat.
She fumbled for his shoulders in the darkness, the loss of one sense heightening all her others. She gasped as she found his biceps. They were bare, his muscles tight and trembling beneath her touch as he rushed to undo her coat. A second gasp escaped her when he cheated again, using his powers to make everything under her coat disappear.
“Dreamed of having you like this,” he growled against her throat, kissing it, and then drew back as he parted her coat to reveal her bare body. “You are so beautiful, my ki’ara.”
“You can see in the dark?” That wasn’t fair. She wanted to see him too. She wanted to rake her gaze over every perfect, delicious inch of him.
He chuckled. “My female is hungry.”
Olivia realised she had been clawing his biceps. The marks on them shimmered, bright and colourful in the darkness, illuminating his face and his torso.
“Do I make them do that?” she whispered and traced them with her fingertips, following the curve over his shoulder and under his collarbones to his chest. He groaned as she tracked the lines of symbols downwards, around the shape of his pectorals to his nipples.
“You bring them out,” he murmured and leaned in to kiss her throat again.
Olivia gave up the fight and tipped her head back, savouring the feel of his mouth on her flesh and his tongue laving her, pressing in hard one moment and then softly the next. He nipped at her with blunt teeth again and moulded his hands around her bare breasts.
“Loren,” she moaned and he shushed her.
“I will satisfy you, ki’ara. Let me savour you first.”
Savouring sounded good. She loosed another groan when he thumbed her nipples, sending sparks shooting outwards and heat pooling in her belly.
“You never answered my question.” She twisted the longer lengths of his hair around her fingers and guided him downwards, aching to feel his mouth on her breasts.
“Do not mention other males.” The sound of his dark commanding snarl cutting through the inky black room thrilled her. He groaned as if he had picked up on her excitement and yanked her coat open, exposing her. He swooped on her left breast, pulling the nipple into his mouth and tugging hard on it, and tweaked her right nipple between his finger and thumb.
Olivia tilted her head back and lost the power of speech as he teased her, sending more fiery heat racing around her body and pooling between her thighs.
Loren released her breast and growled into it. “Princes have markings. No common male bears them.”
She smiled in the darkness, aware he wanted to make a distinction between himself and every other male. He wanted her to see that she had an important and powerful male for her mate.
A prince.
Olivia admitted that it did thrill her, but not as much as that thing he was doing with his fingers. Oh. My. She rolled her eyes back in her head and groaned as he stroked her plush petals, dipping in occasionally to tease her aroused nub.
She wriggled closer to the edge of the table and hooked her legs around him, and decided two could play at his game.
