Junkie(92)
“You still with me, Forrester?” Trent asked, finally lying beside me.
“Did you know it would be that amazing?”
He laughed. “I read some stuff, but I wasn’t really sure how it would be with us…” His voice trailed away.
“Did you like it?” I asked, self-conscious.
He guided my hand down to his still-hard cock. “What do you think?”
“Will you let me try?” I asked, wanting to give him the same insane pleasure he’d just given me.
“I’ll let you do anything, Drew.”
The words were right there, so close to the tip of my tongue.
I love you.
I didn’t say them out loud, though. I held back. Instead, I rolled to my side and kissed him, all while holding him in my palm.
“You have any more of that lube?” I whispered when I pulled back.
“In the back pocket of my jeans.”
My legs felt like a newborn calf’s as I wobbled across the floor to get the packet.
I never want to give this up.
I climbed back in bed eagerly. Trent looked up with trust in his eyes.
And then I gave him exactly what he’d given me.
Trent
My heart was overfull.
All the things that kept us from admitting the way we felt before seemed to bond us closer together now.
We could do this. We could find our way together.
My fingertips danced along Drew’s spine, dragging slowly up and down along the slight dip in the center of his back. His head was on my shoulder, and passion from what we just shared still lingered in the air.
I was satisfied. The kind of bone-deep satisfaction you couldn’t get from any one thing. It was the kind that came when everything fell into place and landed exactly where it should.
In this moment, I didn’t think about all the obstacles that stood in our way, all the secrets we likely were going to have to keep.
All I could think about was how damn lucky I was.
Lucky I got to know this kind of love.
Lucky I had this man in my arms.
“You and Joey seemed to be getting along today,” Drew murmured. His voice sounded as satisfied as I felt.
I turned my face toward him and let my lips brush his forehead as I spoke. “She knows about us.”
His head tilted up, and our eyes met. “Is there an us?”
“Do you want there to be?” I asked. Everything in me waited with bated breath.
“More than anything,” he whispered.
“I want that, too.”
“Exclusive?” he asked, and it made me chuckle deeply.
My chest vibrated with amusement. “I’m not sharing you.”
He grunted like an animal who’d just claimed his mate. I didn’t mind. What Drew didn’t know was he’d claimed me long before tonight. He claimed me the minute he sat beside me in that club. “You know damn well I’m not sharing.”
“Yes, Forrester, I know.” I smiled against his hairline. After a few more minutes, I said, “Joey told me what happened between you and Lorhaven. You skipped a lot of details from that night.”
“I don’t want to talk about Joey or Lorhaven or anyone else right now.”
“Not even for me to tell you I like the way you handled him today?”
He chortled and draped his well-defined arm over my waist. “You can say that.”
“So if you don’t want to talk about anyone else tonight, what do you want to talk about?” I mused.
“Nothing. I just want to lie here with my boyfriend.”
“Boyfriend,” I echoed, and my heart skipped a beat.
He made a dissatisfied sound. “I don’t like the way that sounds. It’s kinda weird.”
“If you don’t want me to be your boyfriend, what do you want me to be?” This was highly amusing but in a kind of appropriate way. It seemed like there was nothing traditional about Drew and me, so why should the way we referred to our relationship be?
“You’re my person,” he concluded after a moment of silence. “My exclusive person.”
I laughed. “Your exclusive person, huh?”
He nodded. The scruff on his jaw scratched against my chest. “And I’ll be yours.”
“Kind of like out of everyone—women and men alike—I’m the person you chose,” I mused. “I like it.”
“Me, too.” He lifted his head and pressed a light kiss over the mark he’d made on my chest. The hickie was right above my heart. Just another way he claimed me.
Yeah, I was one lucky bastard.
I was his. He was mine.
My person.

It’s a cold winter morning in western Maryland at a well-known local speedway. GearShark has assembled a small team, who all traveled to meet the man causing quite a stir in the racing world as of late. A man who has been described to me as an adrenaline junkie. A man who drives without fear. Here at GearShark, we’re accustomed to these types of men. Frankly, they come a dime a dozen. Just about every driver we’ve ever interviewed has something similar said about him.
