Inferno:A Devil Chaser’s MC Romance(36)

“That was incredible,” Tessa moaned. “I can’t imagine how good it’s going to be when we can actually do it in a bed.”

“Oh, we’ll do it in a bed soon enough. Or maybe against the wall…or I might just bend you over that desk of yours at school…. I got all kinds of ideas for you,” Bishop said with a sexy smile.

“Now look who has the vivid imagination!”

“Been thinking about you and that desk since that first day we met,” he said teasing her as he wiggled his eyebrows.

“Well, I guess we’ll have to do something about that, won’t we?” Tessa said as she began kissing his neck.

Bishop could feel himself getting hard again. He pulled back, looking into her hooded eyes and said, “If you keep that up, you won’t be making it home anytime soon.”

“You’re always saying stuff like that. If I keep that up... blah, blah, blah. Maybe I want to keep that up,” Tessa smiled as she continued to kiss him lightly on his neck. Suddenly she pulled away looking panicked. “Oh crap, what time is it? I wasn’t even thinking! We better get back. Court is gonna kill me!”

Tessa pulled herself from him, rushing out of the water and back to the truck. Bishop stood watching her begin to dry off.

She looked back at him with a disapproving look. “What are you doing? Come on, we need to go!” Tessa said obviously flustered.

“Just enjoying the show I didn’t get before. Damn, you got a great ass,” Bishop told her as he walked out of the water. He quickly dried off while watching her put her clothes back on. She pulled her t-shirt on over her bare breasts. He pulled on his jeans and walked over to her. Her eyes roamed over his naked chest lustfully. He was glad she wanted more of him. He planned to give her more soon enough. His hand swept around her waist as his mouth found hers. He kissed her once more. She smiled when he turned to put on his shirt and shoes, then made her way back into the truck.

They were quiet on the way home. She sat close to him, resting her head on his shoulder. Her damp hair felt cold against him. He reached for a blanket to cover her, and she cuddled closer, closing her eyes. He wished he was taking her back to his place, but for now, she needed to go home to her kids.

Chapter 20

Renegade

The Jackals arranged for the Diablos to meet them at the abandoned Humes High School at 9:00. As we arrive, we notice the area is a lot like where we met in Frayser. There are several Quick Cash stores and laundromats at every corner. Several homeless people push shopping carts filled with all kinds of crap, from old newspapers to empty plastic bottles. A couple of Middle Eastern carpet stores and furniture stores are scattered throughout the area. The old school is empty now, but there are plans to open it back up. They say it’s an historical site because Elvis Presley graduated from here. The timeworn building looks pretty cool, but the outside is surrounded by weeds and debris. There’s a lot to clean up before they can get this place back up and running.

We push our bikes through the backdoors of the building so no one can spot us. As we walk through the school, broken lights dangle from the ceiling and malt liquor bottles line the floor. We slowly make our way through the dark halls of the school until we find a row of large windows in the old cafeteria. It has an open view of the back parking lot. We park the bikes and it doesn’t take long before the Diablos pull into the lot.

Sheppard moves closer to the window and says, “They’re here. Make the call.”

I quickly pick up the phone to notify our contact that the Diablos are here. After I confirm the location, we wait for them to make their move. The doors of the SUV begin to open and several of their men start to get out.

“That’s Link, the VP, but I don’t see Duce. Is the big guy Mule, their enforcer?” I ask Sheppard. I'd only met him once, but he was hard to forget.

“Yep, that’s him, and it looks like they have two other guys with them. No one I’ve ever seen before, so they must be prospects. You know how they’re constantly adding new guys. You know Bishop’s gonna be pissed that Duce isn’t with them.”

“I’ll let him know after the cops get here,” I tell him. This blows! After getting all this shit together, this dumb motherfucker doesn’t even have the balls to show up. This isn’t gonna be good.

Shortly after, the cops start to pull in behind the building. There are four patrol cars and two undercover black Tahoes. The police get out with their weapons drawn. One of the prospects begins shooting, the cops return fire, and he drops dead to the ground. The Diablos drop their weapons and begin to make their surrender. The cops cuff them and start searching their SUV for the weapons we told them would be there. We watch them for several minutes as they pull twelve crates of guns and two bags of coke from the back of the SUV. There’s enough ammunition to put them away for a long time.
