Hot For Teacher(181)

“Over there. Yeah, that’s good.” I point over at the wall in our living room and watch as Phillip and Mark set down the table for our TV.
“Make way!” Burke calls out and I step aside as he and Duke carry in our big TV and set it down on the table.
“I’ll hook it up,” shouts Randy.
I smile as I turn around watching everything get put in place. I hear laughter from the kitchen, so I walk to the doorway lean against the frame and look at my girl. She’s laughing at something someone said as they fix lunch on the breakfast bar. “Then she put the sand in her mouth and said how great it was. I swear when you have this baby, I hope they are just like you. Paybacks are a bitch.” Emma laughs again and it hits me, I don’t even know what she was like as a child. So many questions invade my head. I aim to find out. We still have so much to find out about each other, and here we’re having a baby and getting married in a month. But things have happened so fast. I couldn’t be happier and if that brightness on her face and smile are any indication, she’s as happy as I am.
4 months later…..
“Push, baby. You can do this. Not much longer.” She looks up at me and snarls. Okay.
“I’m sorry. I just…. ARGH!” I help her sit up as she grabs underneath her legs. Her whole body relaxes as I hear the sweetest sound. Our baby is wailing, and I bend down kissing the top of Emma’s head. We had decided not to find out the sex of our baby. We wanted to be surprised.
A nurse wraps the little bundle up and walks over to us. “Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Tyler. You have a beautiful daughter.” A girl.
I look down as she lays her in Emma’s arms. Emma’s eyes are full of tears as she looks up at me. I lean down and kiss her full lips and then look back at our daughter. She looks just like Emma. Emma lifts her up, and I take her in my arms. “Hey, Lila Rose. How’s my girl?” Her eyes open and I find bright blue eyes looking at me. She coos, and my heart is so full that I could choke, my own tears that threaten to fall. “Her eye color could change.”
“I hope they don’t. She has her daddy’s eyes,” Emma speaks softly, lovingly.
“I thought you were gonna call her Rose.” Emma’s Mom steps beside me clasping her hand around Rose’s tiny one.
“Oh, we are but she needs to learn her full name. Rose, this is your Grandma, who you’re named after. Go see Grandma.” I hand Rose over to her and watch them together.
I sit down beside Emma on the bed and put my arm around her. “I love you. So much.” I lean down and kiss her. I feel her smile against my mouth and pull back. “What?” I can’t help but smile too.
“We’re in so much trouble. A girl. Let’s hope she’s more like her daddy than her Mommy,” she laughs.
Damn! I hadn’t thought of that. Well, guess I’d better get used to it ‘cos I plan on having many more with the love of my life.
The End
