Her Tiger Billionaire(23)

“I wouldn’t dream of it.” Sven handed the dossier to Hill. “Contact Jesse Richardson at the State office tomorrow morning and explain our situation. Arrange for immunity for our part in the deal we’ve just made. Walker needs to be held accountable for what he’s done.”

“Understood.”

Once the first domino hit the ground, the rest tumbled down. To Sven’s surprise, he didn’t meet any resistance from the rest of the shareholders. Some of them were more than willing to part from their stocks when Sven offered them slightly higher than the market price. He felt relieved that he wouldn’t need to commit more extortions other than in Walker’s case. His team of lawyers had warned him that he’d be walking on thin ice with his forced buyout plan. But now, he’d covered his bases when the State office granted him immunity.

In the midst of his risky business maneuver, Sven hadn’t calculated for the problem that would hit his household. Ever since he and Annalise had become intimate, the beastly part of him had been restless to the point that he almost couldn’t control it. With his past lovers, Sven usually started distancing himself at the first sign of awakening. With Annalise, he couldn’t and wouldn’t. He wanted to tell her when the time was right. After the takeover, when he would bring her to an exotic honeymoon somewhere.

However, his tiger wouldn’t wait.

It had been far too long since he had last shifted.

The last time he went beast was three years ago in Harbin, during a business trip in China. By coincidence, the area housed a Siberian tiger conservation park, and he couldn’t resist going animal and joining his non-shifting kind to frolic and socialize.

Sven scratched the desk in his office. His fingertips transformed into sharp claws. This urge, he lamented, was overwhelming. He could fly to one of many properties he owned around the world to shift, but what he really wanted was Annalise. Her scent that he had memorized all too well was driving him insane. His tiger part wanted, no, needed, to get to know her in the flesh.

He bolted from his seat, trembling. This was too much to bear.

Too much…

He checked on his watch. Only ten-thirty. There was plenty of time before Annalise came home. He needed to be around her scent when he transformed. Their bedroom was full of her intoxicating aroma.

Sven made up his mind. A few hours transforming should be enough until he put his business in order and told her the truth.

He hoped it would be.

Annalise parked her car in the building garage sloppily. She didn’t care. A thousand things ran through her brain. She had tried calling Sven on his cell, but it went unanswered. Itt made her worry. Sven was very anal about this type of thing, especially a call from her.#p#分页标题#e#

The hospital had contacted her earlier, letting her know that Robby was miraculously awake. She hurried to leave the office to visit him. Her little brother was in and out when she was there. The doctor said it would take time for Robby to fully awaken as his injured brain was slowly healing. Annalise tried to call Sven to tell him the good news but couldn’t get ahold of him. Curious, Annalise rang his secretary. She said that Sven wasn’t feeling well and had left early. Annalise tried Sebastian next, to confirm that Sven was home. Sebastian said that Sven was in his inner sanctum and didn’t want to be disturbed. Annalise decided to go home to see what was going on.

Was Sven sick?

Sven was the fittest man she’d ever met. And for him to suddenly be sick was mind-boggling.

However, she had noticed that Sven had been restless lately. He was also insanely horny, not that she minded. They had been at it constantly, fucking each other’s brains out like a pair of crazed rabbits. When he wasn’t busy coaxing her to lose her panties, he worked like a maniac.

Sven had seemed fine that morning. So why he wasn’t feeling well now?

Sebastian opened the door for her, seeming surprised to see her. “Madam. You’re home early.”

“Is Sven home?” Annalise breezed past him and strode to the inner sanctum.

Sebastian trailed behind her. “Mister Torvik is home but he does not wish to be disturbed.”

“Is he sick?”

“I couldn’t… I’m not sure. Madam.” Sebastian halted her. “Mister Torvik truly wishes for his privacy.”

Annalise frowned. “Are you telling me I can’t check on my own husband?”

“No, of course not. I wouldn’t dare.”

“Then step aside.”

Sebastian bowed his head, yielding.

Annalise put in the passcode and yanked the door open. What’s up with this privacy bullshit? Everybody was acting strangely today. “Sven?” she called. “Are you okay?”
