Dragon Down Under(13)
She sighed. As much as she wanted to go back to sleep, her mind went into full author mode, full of ideas for a great, new story, the inspiration starting with her own experience, Brimstone fucking her like some kind of sex god. She groaned, knowing full well she wouldn’t sleep now until she got all her new ideas out of her head.
She rolled over and rubbed her eyes before sitting up and taking in the suite. She didn’t have time to take in the fact Brimstone was in the most luxurious and expensive room in all of Darwin and must have some money to be able to afford this. Where was the mystery man? With his size, a game of hide and seek would be over before it started.
She flopped back against the soft mattress, sighing again. Her empty stomach filled with butterflies when the realisation hit. It was over. She was treated to a whole night of mind-blowing sex; now, it was time to get back to the real world.
Real world? There was a laugh for a woman who retreated into her own head of fantasy, and sexy heroes to help make her living. Still, it didn’t settle well in her chest, but there was really no other option. She couldn’t lay claim to Brimstone and keep him, plus there was enough research material to keep her going for years.
She got what she wanted, it was time to leave. She needed to take responsibility for her life and actions. Brimstone helped her break free from not only Wayne, but her own inhibitions. She felt free and she had a whole world out there to explore now. She was footloose and fancy free, or so the saying went.
The bedside clock told her it was slightly before six o’clock. She needed to meet the tour bus. She had booked it for seven-thirty, so she would have to hurry if she wanted to make it on time. She chewed on her lip, wondering if she should wait for Brimstone to come back—if he comes back. The last thing she wanted was to feel the awkward, post-sex thing if he expected her gone by the time he did come back. She shook her head. It was better to leave now, continue on with things, even without Wayne, who she hoped got the good sense not to turn up on the tour of Litchfield National Park, since it was something she has been looking forward to.
With sluggish movements, she dragged her sore...well, everything from the bed and went in search of her suitcase and the bathroom. A shower, change of clothing, many, many cups of coffee, and then she would take her pen and notebook with her, and store her case with the front desk until she got back. Then, she would find somewhere to stay. She also needed to sort out her flights home to Melbourne, but it could wait—her stomach rumbled, reminding her she never ate dinner yesterday evening, and she added breakfast to her list of things she needed to do.

“There you are, my friend.”
Brimstone paused and turned to face Slade outside their hotel room. Brimstone had the presence of mind not to teleport back the same way he went, just in case his little mate was awake. Scaring her by simply appearing may not go down well. Frightening her was the last thing he wanted to do.
All he could think about while he changed and stretched his dragon wings was being balls deep inside her again and again.
He reached for the door, unlocking it with his dragon magic; he didn’t have any real need for keys of any type.
The scent of more than one woman wafted from Slade, who cocked his head regarding Brimstone. “Why you sly dragon, you scored last night, too.”
Brim turned on Slade growling. “No, I found my true mate! Go near her, friend or not, and I will tear off your arm and shove it up your ass.”
Slade froze before he grinned wide and moved forward to slap Brim on the back. “This is fantastic! Congratulations, my friend. It proves the point we need to integrate our lives with the humans and learn to live among them. Our mates are scattered through the population. Surely, it is the work of the gods to mate us not only with our own kind, but humans as well.”
Brim grunted at his friend's long-winded speech. He didn’t care anymore. His only priority now was his mate, his beautiful, lush Amber. Was she still sleeping? Was her bountiful body tangled in the white sheets, or was she in the shower with water sliding over her skin? He was rock hard and contemplating telling Slade to go the fuck away, so he could fuck his Amber again in the shower, or from behind bent over the sink.
“Do I get to meet your lucky, human lady?” Slade grinned.
Brim growled again, not wanting Slade’s handsome face anywhere near her, but they were both sent on this mission.
“Wait here, I’ll make sure she is dressed first. Remember, she’s mine.” He pinned Slade with a hard stare.
Slade raised both hands, his grin still in place. “I don’t doubt it, my friend; I’d never poach your woman, especially your mate. By the way, does she know yet what you are?”
