Divine Charity(Divine Creek Ranch 18)(32)

By:Heather Rainier

Ransome let out a ragged breath and groaned. “Charity—”

Charity turned back to Justin with high color in her cheeks and blurted out, “And my fantasy was for much more than a weekend. That’s why it needs to stay a fantasy.”

Val leaned forward and asked, “What makes you think all we want is a weekend?”

She held up a hand to stop them. “You could have your pick of women ten years—hell, twenty years younger than me. It turned you on to watch us tonight. I get that. But I never wanted a temporary fling and I don’t think you understand what you’re asking. Don’t you remember?”

Val reached out and lifted her hand from where it rested on her thigh. Her fingers had grown a little cold and he wrapped them between his big paws as he looked into her eyes and smiled. “Justin had a solid jab, even back then. He’s talked with us about it and things have changed. For him, for all of us.”

Ransome nodded. “We’re retired now, and done with the lifestyle of bounty hunters, never being home, always on the road. We want to settle here. The fantasy weekend was only meant as an opener, Charity.”

She shook her head and looked down at Justin and sniffled. “Babe, nothing is worth the risk of hurting you, even you giving me something I really—”

Justin smiled and interrupted. “Something you really want? Something you’ve always wanted?” He stroked her hips as he flexed beneath her, reminding Val they were still joined from their earlier lovemaking. He shouldn’t have been surprised when his earlier raging arousal flared to life, stiffening his cock until he had to sit back to make room or risk being pinched.

She let out a gasp and then sighed. “No fantasy, no matter how much I want it, is worth risking you getting the impression you’re not enough to keep me happy, Justin. I’d never want you to feel like you weren’t enough.” The way her voice broke made Val’s need to protect flare to life but this was between Justin and Charity.

Justin grinned. “And what if that wasn’t an issue?”

“And why wouldn’t it be an issue?” she asked, a frown knitting her brow.

“Your sister has achieved what many people believe is impossible. So have quite a number of our friends. Babe, when you want something, you’re the most determined woman I know. Why would you believe it would work out for Grace and not for you? I love you. I love you so much it makes my heart ache. The only thing that makes my heart ache more is seeing you wanting what you think you can’t have.”

Her cheeks grew rosy and she lowered her head again. “I thought I hid it better.”

Justin chuckled as he stroked her hips again. They seemed to be having some sort of unspoken conversation as he flexed his hips again and smiled at her. “I know you better than anyone else. You said so yourself. The one who needed to change was me. Let us give this to you. Not just for the weekend. You already know in your heart that it would be good.”

“But—”

“And regarding all that bullshit about you being decrepit and on the verge of falling apart,” Justin said in a steely tone. “You keep that shit up and my itchy palm is going to spank your gorgeous ass. We clear?”

Val’s tension eased as she chuckled and wiggled her hips and said, “Very clear. But what about Beau and Justine?”

Justin stopped her movements with a rippling groan and said, “I’m getting hard for you again, babe, and finding it difficult to concentrate.” When she nodded, he lifted her from his lap, gently withdrawing his thick cock from her glistening pussy. The sight made Val even harder which surprised him a little. “I’ve overheard the kids talking about us.”

“You have?” Charity said as her eyebrows rose. “That little minx was quizzing me after school today about Val and Ransome.”

Justin laughed as she took a seat on her haunches facing the three of them. “I’m not surprised. The other day, she and Beau were in the kitchen making their lunches and I heard her say that she was happy her aunt Grace had three men who adored her that she could love in return but that it was unfair that you didn’t when the four of us look perfect together.”

“She said that?”

Justin nodded. “And Beau agreed. He thinks that the timing is right with them graduating and going off to college soon. To be honest, the fact that they were pre-teens when Grace married the guys, and Val and Ransome were still on the road all the time, were the only reasons I didn’t say something back then. I didn’t want to mess with the kids’ heads.”

“She was practically coercing me this afternoon. Do you think they know the four of us are together tonight?”
