Discovering Dalton(19)
Liam grabbed hold of Dalton’s hand and held it over his cock. “See what you do to me.”
“Yes.” Dalton looked into his eyes.
“It’s not one way, Dee.”
“It’s just… I've never…” Dalton removed his hand. “I've only ever been with one person before and she was my wife. She left me three weeks ago. I don’t know what I'm doing. I've never…” He glanced over to the lockers again. “I've never felt anything like that before. How you kissed me…” Dalton looked back to Liam. “I've never wanted… I'm not a sexual person. I never have been, but with you… Fuck!” Dalton dragged his fingers over his short cropped hair. “You're driving me crazy, Liam. You have been since I saw you in the shower.”
“Not before?” Liam cupped Dalton’s chin, looking right into his eyes. He’d seen looks from him, caught glances. There was something there. They always had been. Before, Liam thought it was just what he’d wanted to see in Dalton. Having a crush on a straight guy does that to a man, but now, Liam was reassessing those looks.
“I don’t… I don’t know.”
“Kiss me, Dalton.”
Dalton paused, looking at his mouth. Liam kept still, rolling his thumb over those tempting lips. Dalton moved closer, placing a soft kiss on his mouth. Liam had never felt such a tender touch before. It was so sweet, so innocent, like his first kiss in high school, but he guessed that’s what this was for Dalton, his first kiss, the first one he’d taken charge of anyway.
“Hmm, Dee. You taste as sweet as sugar, Baby, and I have a big sweet tooth.”
Chapter 12
Dalton took the beer from Liam with shaking hands and sat back on the black leather sofa. They were in a room he’d never been in before, a staff room set up with a small kitchenette and a lounge area for breaks.
“Thanks.” He watched Liam sit on the other end of the sofa, feeling grateful for the space between them and smiling at him for the nice gesture.
“S’okay. I'm not pushing. I'm just—I won't say I’m here as just your friend, ‘cos I want more.” Liam grinned at him. “But I'm not going to demand it from you. I get how difficult this is for you. I don’t have the added pressure of being in your job. I guess it’s not easy being gay and working in that environment, and I've always known I like men, so I don’t have that experience either, but I know how tough it can be to… want a man.” He’d paused over what to say at the end, not mentioning gay or bi.
Dalton understood his confusion, he shared it. He had no idea what he was. Didn’t know if it mattered if he fit into a box or could label himself as something. “I'm sorry I didn’t know about your sexuality. It really doesn’t bother me at all what people get up to in bed. I don’t even take time out to try and guess. You’re just you, it was me and the shower and my own confusion which bugged me.”
“I get it. And that’s a good thing, Dee.”
“How old were you when you knew? Am I missing something, have I always been missing something? Why didn’t I see this before?”
“Did you love you wife?”
“Sure. I still do.” Dalton took a drink from his bottle, not looking up from the floor. It was love, not like he felt in the beginning, not like he’d felt in a long time. It was… sisterly? “It’s not like it was. It changed along the way and I didn’t even notice until she pointed it out to me a few months ago. I was so selfish. I’d no idea things had become so bad. We just…” Dalton threw himself back on the sofa and looked to Liam. “Guess how long it’s been since we had sex?”
Liam pursed his lips together, then seemed to be thinking hard. “I dunno. Before you broke up?”
“Yeah.”
“Six months?”
“Three years.” Dalton laughed at the open-mouthed shock on Liam’s face.
“You went three whole years without sex? How?”
“You have a lot, huh?”
“Sort of, not really.” Liam twirled the bottle in his fingers. “I don’t really see anyone full time.” He paused, taking a drink from his beer. “So, I guess I have a lot less than people in a relationship. I go out at the weekend, not every weekend.” Liam chuckled. “I haven’t had sex in a month. I can go longer.” He glanced up into Dalton’s eyes. “I'm a big shit really. I like random hook-ups with men I forget the day after.”
“Oh…” Dalton felt a little ice run down his spine.
“You're not one of them.”
“Right.”
“No, you're not.” Liam shifted closer to him. “You're different.”
“Why? Fresh meat? Untouched and ripe for the picking?” Dalton brushed off his touch with a glare.
“No.” Liam chuckled. “Fresh meat? Honestly. How much of a prick do you think I am?” Liam’s body was right back against Dalton’s, hard and heavy. Everything Dalton had never experienced before.
“You’re saying the fact I've never been with a man doesn’t turn you on?” Dalton raised a brow, not believing that for a moment.
“No,” Liam spoke slowly, wrapping an arm around Dalton’s shoulders as his lips moved dangerously closer. “It does turn me on.” His voice had dropped, lower and gruffer, and those full lips were brushing feather light kisses down Dalton’s jaw, heading to his throat. “I want to own every single first from you.”
Liam found the same spot on Dalton’s neck, right where he could feel Dalton’s pulse bursting through his skin as his heart beat faster, the bristles from Liam’s chin scratching the tender area and sending shockwaves of lust and apprehension through Dalton.
“My firsts?” Dalton was going to move back, but instead, he found strong, calloused fingers gripping the back of his neck. His head was pulled backwards and his throat was now fully exposed for more of those kisses which had him near cardiac arrest.
“Your first kiss, your first orgasm, I got those already.” Liam’s gravelly voice, the deepness to his timbre, it had Dalton hard and craving more. “I want to be the first man to touch your cock, to have my cock in your hand, to suck you, to own this mouth when I press my cock through those lips. To feel you come when I slip my fingers inside you. To watch that virgin arse take my cock.”
Liam was working around his jaw again, heading for his lips and Dalton was too rigid with the conflicting emotions inside him to take control of his own body and act. Liam pulled back an inch, just enough to look into Dalton’s eyes, and he half smiled, the one Dalton had seen so many times over the months they’d known each other, but this time, it had something else. Something new and secretive just for them.
Liam placed a kiss so softly on the corner of his lips it made Dalton push back into him, searching for more, needing to feel those lips on his. “I want to own every moan and whimper, every second of your pleasure. I want all those things, Dalton.”
“Okay.” Dalton took in a deep breath. When Liam gave them another inch of breathing space, he tried to think through everything without his cock and his underused libido making the decisions. “That sounds pretty much like you’re using me then fucking off.”
“What exactly would you like me to say to you?” Liam chuckled, still holding the back of Dalton’s neck, massaging him softly with his large fingers. His honey-coloured eyes looked so intently into Dalton’s own, his breathing stilled in his chest as he looked away, not knowing what he should do about the whole fucked up situation. “Should I say I'm looking for a deep and meaningful relationship? You want me to court you old school and ask your daddy for permission?”
“No, snarky fucker.” Dalton pushed Liam’s hand away, but the smile on his face gave him away. “Look, I'm not looking for that either, just so we’re on the same page. I just got out of a long term relationship, and I’m nowhere near ready for another one. I'm not even sure I can do this.” He motioned between them. “Whatever this is. I just don’t want to fuck things up between us. I actually like you—okay, so I hate you too, but I'm sure everyone you train hates you at some point.”
“They do,” Liam said proudly.
“Yeah, well, I like this gym and you, and you're mates with Milo and Danny so… I don’t want things to get funky between us if we… I don’t know, do stuff.”
“It won't get weird, I promise. Just friends with benefits for a while until things peter out. I'm not looking for a regular playmate. But us sharing times like these, going for drinks like last week and training here, there’s no harm in that. It will be new for me too. I've never done that before.”
“You really don’t see them more than once?”
“Nope.”
“That’s truly strange, you know. Why?”
“I'm not a one person man. I've got no time for all the hassle of a relationship.”
“No love?”
Liam paused. “No, I… have love, just not like boyfriend love.”
“I had love and no sex.” Dalton grinned at him.
“Yeah, that’s kinda what I have, but I get sex elsewhere.”
