Discovering Dalton(16)

By:Nicole Colville

Blue leaned in, calming strokes running up and down Dalton’s back, sweetly spoken words whispered against his neck, and Dalton’s tension eased a little. “Is he an ex or something?”

“No,” Dalton choked out.

“Oh, I just thought there was some history there.” Blue’s glossy red lips curled into a smile.

“There’s no history of that kind.”

“But there is some to speak about?” Blue opened his green eyes wider and nodded. “It’s obvious. Maybe it’s time you resolved this tension between the two of you somehow.”

“What?” Dalton stiffened.

“Well, there's obviously something happening between you two.”

“Yeah, but not what you think.”

Blue bit his lip while he thought. “Hmm, there’s a few different things going on from where I'm sitting.” He nudged his thigh against Dalton’s dick, and for the first time, he realised he was excited. “Or is this for me?”

Dalton truly had no idea. He was confused by his own body, not understanding why he was reacting at all. But it had happened in the showers while he watched Liam. Maybe it was those moments replaying in his mind which caused his cock to stiffen in his jeans.

Maybe it was the fact he had someone sitting on him, caring about him, someone with long legs and big heels, who was wearing make-up and who was confusing Dalton’s body by being more feminine than he was used to in a man. But then, Dalton was close to Samuel. He was beautiful and more feminine than Blue and this had never happened, and hadn't Samuel been sitting on his knee earlier? Maybe he was losing his mind. Maybe he’d already lost it.

“I don’t… I really don’t know,” he whispered into Blue’s hair. “I just… I have to go.”

“Wait, sexy.” Blue pressed his body more into his, meeting his eyes, those black lashes coated thickly in mascara. “Don’t run off just yet. There’s no need.”

“I'm not gay,” Dalton rushed out as low as he could make his voice, darting his gaze to Liam, his tight V-necked vest showing off those big muscles, jeans encasing his firm arse, that bottle hanging in between his lips.

This time, when Blue rubbed his thigh over his cock, Dalton grabbed Blue’s slender calf running up his leg and just held it, not moving Blue away but not pulling him closer—just frozen, not knowing what to do.

“You don’t have to label yourself with anything, Dalton.” Blue took hold of his chin, fingertips gently caressing his skin and making Dalton shift his gaze from Liam back to him. “I think…” He eased closer still, his thigh now pressed against the rigid length encased in Dalton’s jeans. “If your body needs something, it lets you know. If your eyes find something pleasing, they look more. If your heart beats faster for someone, then you follow it. I'm not gay. I'm a person. A human being. That’s the label I want to be tagged with. Hashtag Human.” He clicked his fingers with a bright smile.

Dalton smiled through his fear and understood what Blue was saying. He just wasn’t ready to think the same way. “That’s nice.”

“It’s the truth. The truth is always a good thing. I always think our brains confuse us. They have all this bullshit ‘learned’ behaviour which they pick up over the years and it tells you to think one way, your body saying another. It takes time for those two to work together and come to some sort of an agreement, but we all get there eventually. Just don’t pressure yourself, hon.” Blue leaned in, kissing the corner of his mouth, Dalton’s cock now crushed against his thigh. “Of course, I would like to think this is for me, but I know better.” Blue pulled back with a heavy sigh. “If you change your mind though…” He winked with a chuckle.

“Blue.” Samuel was beside them, looking between them both. “Dalton’s a bit…” He drifted off, worrying his bottom lip with his teeth, obviously not wanting to spill too much personal info about Dalton’s bad day and emotional state.

“Confused, sweetie?” Blue offered brightly.

“Yeah.” Samuel looked to the sky, then took hold of Blue’s hand. “You go get some air, Dalton.”

“We’re outside.” Danny broke in, laughing. “How much fresh air does he fucking need?” He was drunker than the rest of them—mixing his drinks always did that to him. “Love, come sit on my knee. I miss you.” He motioned to Samuel, and the long haired blond sat on him, helping Danny keep still by kissing him.

Dalton didn’t want Blue to leave his knee, people would see his erection, and he tightened his grip on Blue’s hips, hissing slightly as his thigh left his cock. “Sit still. You're not going anywhere.”

Liam stood up, looking between them both. “Hmm, I love that alpha tone.” Liam looked Blue up and down before smirking at Dalton. “I didn’t see him being your type somehow.”

“I don’t have a type. Unless you class human being as a type, right, Blue?”

“Right, Babe.” Blue wrapped his arms around Dalton’s neck, tilting his head at Liam. “You going, Hercules?”

“Yeah. See you later, Dee. Tinker Bell.” Liam threw a sexy smirk at Blue before he sauntered off.

Dalton blew out the biggest breath of his life, body sagging into the chair and a euphoric wave of relief passing over him.

“Babe, you got it bad for that one.”

“I have not.” Dalton’s wide eyes met Blue’s as he shook his head. “Look…” It was the weight of Blue pressing against him which Dalton went with in the end. It had to be. “I haven’t… my body’s just confused.”

“Your body?” Blue tilted his head again, his wondrously profound eyes sucking Dalton in deeper the longer he looked. He felt like he was drowning in them. Wells of still water capturing him and begging him to talk.

“Yes, my body. I haven’t…” Dalton looked around. Everyone was chatting, even Milo was now occupied by Danny’s lips on his. “It’s been a while since I had contact, let’s say.

“Oh…” Blue leaned in. “You're saying it could be anyone and you'd be this hard?”

“Yes.”

Blue pouted and Dalton stroked his cheek softly. “I didn’t mean it like that. You're beautiful, just…”

“What?” Blue moved closer, Dalton not understanding why his body reacted to the small shift of weight on his knee. “A man?”

“Yes.”

“Let’s just go with person. Try telling your brain that and go with it.” Blue leaned in, placing those slick lips on his, kissing him softly, that slim thigh pressed right against his cock as it jerked back to full attention.

Dalton just sat there, letting it happen, not being able to move. He felt like marble, he’d never been so tense before. “I'm sorry.” He lifted Blue from his knee, running off into the bar and ignoring Milo’s shouts to stop.

Chapter 11

Liam was taking a day off. It was unusual for him to take a holiday during the week, but he had a long weekend planned with Troy, and he wanted Friday off. They had a ride planned on their bikes, heading to the countryside and stopping the night with a couple of old friends who owned a pub out in the middle of nowhere. They’d been to a few lock-ins there over the years, staying well past closing time, drinking behind the locked doors and they’d always taken advantage of the booze too much, ending up camping in the field next to the pub.

Taking a day off meant more work for him, but if he didn’t catch up before he left, he’d be in the shit when he came back. He had to get some paperwork over to his accountant. The bank liked to keep an eye on their investment and they insisted on regular updates being sent over to make sure Liam could repay what he’d borrowed to complete the renovation on Aspire after Terry died.

Thursday wasn’t a busy day anyway, so he spent that day in the office, his head buried in paperwork and making calls for supplies. It was late when he ventured outside of the small box-like office behind reception.

Kathy was there, chatting to the cleaner who was just finishing, but when she spotted Liam, she smiled and motioned around the clean room. “All the empty rooms are closed down for the night, and I've checked the windows and doors like you said to. There are just the two in the weights room and someone in the sauna. I gave him a wake up shout through the door. You should check out the male only areas. I don’t want to go spoiling my innocence by seeing something I shouldn’t.” She stood up, throwing on her jacket. “I'm off. You have a great weekend. We got this. Don’t worry your pretty little head about a thing.”

“I’ll go do it now. I have a serious pain in the neck from being bent over all day.”

Kathy snorted. “I would think if you’ve been bent over all day, the pain would be in your ass, not your neck.”

“Bugger off home.” Liam flicked her arse with a towel discarded on the reception desk, laughing as she squealed.

“I'm calling in the solicitors. That’s sexual harassment.”

“You wish I was sexually harassing you,” Liam shot back quickly as he walked down the corridor to the weights room. He spotted two regulars wiping down the bench and shouted out they were closing, actually, half hour past closing time. “I should charge you two extra. I have a home to go to, you know.” They chatted for a few minutes about what they were up to and how their training was going, then Liam checked his watch and shoved them down the hall. “Go home. You must have wives who are missing you.”
