Dimitri's Forbidden Submissive(71)
“Well, I mean this has got to be kind of awkward for you as well.”
His laughter vibrated against her and he gently moved her off his lap and onto her feet. “Touching a beautiful woman? Bringing her pleasure? Hopefully making her pussy melt on my tongue? No, is no hardship.”
Licking her lips, she swallowed hard and nodded. “Okay. So how are we going to do this?”
Chapter Sixteen
Alex knocked on the door of a room down the hall from his. A moment later a very pretty, curvy blonde-haired woman around Rya’s height opened it with a smile. She wore her hair in loose ringlets that flowed over the shoulders of her pink t-shirt and a pair of artfully distressed jeans hugged her legs. The smell of food drifted into the corridor while she held the door open.
“Alex, Rya, please come in.”
Rya glanced around the suite and took note of the deep burgundy and gold décor before returning her attention to the woman. Alex had told her that the blonde—her name was Catrin—would be helping her get ready for this evening, and that Catrin could be trusted. Although what Catrin could possibly do to make this any easier for Rya other than getting her shit faced drunk she had no idea.
Catrin turned and gave Rya an unexpected hug and said in surprisingly good English, “Rya, it’s so nice to meet you. Dimitri has told me all about you.”
The guilt and anger that churned Rya’s stomach surged and she stiffened in the other woman’s arms. “Thank you.”
Catrin gave her a searching look, then turned to Alex. “I’ll take it from here.”
“Thank you, Catrin.”
Alex gave Rya an uncomfortably heated look before he left her alone with the curvy blonde. As Rya looked her over she couldn’t help the pang of hurt that filled her. Catrin had the legs of a pinup girl. Jealousy chose that moment to remind her that Dimitri had either fucked, or possibly would be fucking this woman tonight. She tried to dismiss those catty thoughts, reminding herself that she’d just had Alex’s cock in her hand, and that she was still wet.
She was such a hypocrite.
Could this day get any shittier?
With a smile Catrin gestured towards the small four-person table near the window laden down with food. “Come, let us eat.”
Rya followed her over to the table and took in the assortment of tiny sandwiches and sweets, but shook her head. “I’m sorry, but I’m not very hungry.”
Sighing softly, Catrin sat in the chair nearest to Rya and took her hand. “This is incredibly awkward and difficult for you, isn’t it?”
“What could possibly be awkward about having the brother of the man I lo-like screw me while Dimitri fucks some woman?”
“I understand.” Catrin gave her hand a sympathetic squeeze. “Would it help if I told you Dimitri is miserable? That I’ve never seen him this upset?”
In a petty way, it did feel better, but she shook her head and gently extracted her hand from Catrin’s. “I’m sure he’s real torn up about screwing one of his whores.”
Anger tightened Catrin’s angelic features. “You do not understand, do you?”
Rya gave a bitter laugh and crossed her arms, hugging herself. “Understand? I don’t understand any of this. I’m so fucking confused and scared I’m two steps away from locking myself in a closet.”
Catrin filled a glass with what looked like champagne and shoved it at her. “Drink.”
“I really…”
“I said, drink.”
The command in Catrin’s tone made Rya blink, but she took a sip, then another. “There, happy?”
“No, this situation is not ideal for any of us. I love Dimitri, he’s one of my husband’s best friends, and it hurts me to see him in so much pain. I know you don’t understand, but please believe me when I say, in all of the time I’ve known Dimitri he’s never given a shit about a woman other than for physical release or friendship. Never love…until you.”
After taking another gulp of champagne Rya shook her head. “Are you involved…I mean do you know about his family?”
“Yes, I’m well aware of his family. My husband is part of another…family.”
“Really?”
“Oh yes, but we are not here to discuss that. I need to help you be as comfortable with this as possible, because not only do I feel badly that you are in this situation, but because I need to protect Dimitri. He has helped my husband in many ways over the years and I owe him.”
“So you’re supposed to give me a pep talk or something?”
Catrin sighed and refilled Rya’s glass. “Something like that.”
