Cash's Fight(85)

“You’re not doing a great job of it so far,” she moaned.

“I’m not?” he mocked. “Let me fix that.” His hand slid from her hip to the front of her pussy. His fingers then rubbed against her, sending her back into a hazy cloud of desire where nothing mattered except the climax he was building. When he pinched the sensitive bundle of nerves, she screamed at the small pain as she came, almost blinded by the pleasure that ended only when he released her from his possession.

When she collapsed against the sheets, unable to stop herself from trembling, Cash pulled up a sheet to cover her butt, leaving her back bare. He lay down next to her, his large hand smoothing over her back.

“You got a tat while you were gone.” His statement had her burying her face in the pillow. His finger traced over the dream catcher tattoo that was on the back of her shoulder. Rachel had given the picture to the artist who had inked her. “I didn’t take you for a tattoo girl.”

“You don’t know anything about me, Cash. You never took the time to get to know me.” Her voice was even, without a shred of the emotion she had once felt for this man.

“That’s not true. I might not know everything, but I know you, Rachel.” Cash’s sincerity failed to impress her. She was just one of many women with whom he’d had sex, nothing more or less.

She didn’t answer, pretending to be asleep. She was exhausted, but she was far from sleepy, her mind in turmoil at what she had let happen. She had no willpower where he was concerned. She was like an addict when faced with their drug of choice, swearing not to indulge again, but when it was within reach, giving in to the temptation.

She felt Cash scoot in closer to her, and then he pulled the sheet up over both of them. Rachel lay silently by his side for over an hour until she was sure he had fallen asleep before quietly sliding out of the bed and getting dressed.#p#分页标题#e#

She didn’t look back at the bed before leaving the bedroom, too afraid she would change her mind. Maybe I should start a twelve-step program for getting over Cash, she thought wryly.

The downstairs of the clubhouse was quiet as she let herself out the front door. It was over a mile walk to Mag’s house. She should call one of her brothers to come get her, but couldn’t bring herself to. The look in their eyes, that she had become another one of Cash Adams’s whores, would put an irreparable rift between them. Instead, she started walking. She had never been afraid of the dark. She was much more afraid of what waited for her in Cash’s bed if she stayed.

Rachel ignored Lily’s curious stare when she came into the church store to already find her there. It took her the better part of the morning to relax around her. Lily never questioned her, though. She was not the type to pry, and Rachel appreciated that about her.

“Lily?” Rachel smoothed out the t-shirt she was folding.

“Hmm?” Lily looked up from the paperwork she was filling out.

“Are the rumors true about the clubhouse?” Rachel asked the question that had been drilling a hole through her heart for the last several months.

Lily looked back down at her paperwork, fiddling with her pen. “I think that is a question you should ask Cash.”

“I don’t have the right to ask; he’s made me no promises. Hell, I don’t even know what’s going on between us,” she admitted.

“You may not know what he’s feeling, but you know your own. Shade, Razer, Viper, and Knox all belong to The Last Riders and they are faithful to us. You can’t judge Cash, thinking he won’t remain faithful if he is committed to you.”

“Cash will never be faithful to a woman. He isn’t capable of it.”

“You can’t be sure of that,” Lily protested.

Rachel gave her a wry look. “We’ve both watched Cash chase after women since we were young. He chases them until he gets them, then he dumps them. The only women I think he’s been with regularly are the ones in the club, and they don’t expect anything from him.” Rachel folded another shirt. “Doesn’t it bother you to be around those women, knowing Shade’s been with them all?”

Rachel looked up to see the hurt look on Lily’s face.

“I’m sorry, Lily. I didn’t mean it like that. It’s just…” Rachel’s frustration at herself reached a boiling point. “I don’t want to be attracted to Cash. He’s a horny hound dog who is going to make my life miserable.”

“Or he’s a horny hound dog who is going to keep you very satisfied.”

Rachel gaped at Lily’s blunt comeback. She seemed surprised by herself, blushing bright red.
