Breaking Down(The Garage Series Book 2)(17)

"Sorry, man. She's taken," Gabe's deep voice said over my head.

I leaned my head up to look at him, but I was distracted when I heard  Kat's giggle from beside me. She looked at me with wide eyes and raised  her eyebrows up and down. She didn't even stop dancing.

The man in front of me looked me up and down, and I felt a little  exposed by his perusal. Gabe pulled me further into his body and spun me  away so the guy didn't get another look.

I still had my back pressed to his front as we stood in the middle of  the dance floor. We weren't dancing. We were both just standing there  breathing, his chest was rising and falling rapidly against my naked  back, and I already felt like I could combust.

How did he do that?

He leaned down and bit down on my ear which caused me to arch my ass  further into him. If I moaned, no one would hear me in this place.

"Did you wear this dress to drive me crazy tonight?" He ran his hand down my back, and his skin left a trail of goosebumps.

I nodded my head yes, and his deep laugh filled my ears.

"I wanted to break that man's hand off when I saw him touch this skin  that I knew was meant for me." He caressed my back in small, light  circles, and it was driving me crazy.

"I can say the same." I looked up at him over my shoulder.

His eyebrows pinched together and a look of confusion filled his face.

"I saw that girl with her hands on you when I walked in." I turned my  head away from him, but he caught my chin before I could completely get  him out of my line of sight.

He ran his thumb over my bottom lip as he spoke. "Did you also see me  push her hand off of me?" I didn't say anything because I hadn't. I had  looked away before I could see anything. "I don't want anyone's hands on  me unless they're yours." He leaned down and captured my lips in a soft  kiss.

I felt like my head was reeling when he pulled away. It might not have  seemed like much to some people, but Gabe had never openly shown  affection when we were out. Especially not where his friends could see  us. I wasn't sure what to think.

Gabe pulled his body away from mine and laced his hand in mine. We began  walking toward the bar where all our friends stood, and I suddenly  became nervous. I knew they would all support me and my decisions, but I  also wanted them to support Gabe. I didn't want any more animosity  toward him about what had happened in the past. If I could get over it,  so could they.

When we got to our friends, Gabe sat down in an empty bar stool and  pulled me between his legs. It wasn't lost on me that he was keeping my  back hidden against his body. He kept his arms around my waist, and I  began to relax into him.

"Happy birthday, Cash," I said to the birthday boy who had a long, leggy brunette attached to his side.

"Thanks." He wagged his eyebrows at me, and I couldn't help but laugh.  Cash and I had never really been good friends, but he was an awesome  guy. He was fun, carefree, and loyal to his friends. I couldn't wait  until the day a girl came along and knocked him on his ass. Cash was  somewhat of a player, and it would take an incredible woman to get  through to him.

Johnny smiled down at me and pulled me into a bear hug. I could feel  Gabe tense behind me, but Johnny let go of me quickly, and I was back in  Gabe's arms.

"I see you're already wreaking havoc on the dance floor." Johnny took a sip of his whiskey.

"I was not. I was simply dancing. I can't help it that men just flock to me," I teased.

Johnny rolled his eyes, and I felt Gabe's arms tighten around me.

"You did look in the mirror before you walked out of the house, right?"  Johnny asked. "I'm surprised men weren't stroking out as you walked by."

"Thank you," Gabe's voice called out behind me. "Why do you think I'm  keeping her locked against me? I've already thought about kicking about  ten different guys' asses tonight."

"Good plan." Johnny raised his whiskey.

"Excuse me. First of all, I'm right here." I pointed to myself and  didn't miss the smirk on both of their faces. "Second of all, I can wear  whatever the hell I want. You're lucky I don't get up on this bar and  shake what my mama gave me for everyone to see." I would never do that,  but they didn't need to know that.

"Over my dead body," Gabe grumbled in my ear as Johnny called out, "Not happening."

"I liked it a lot better when you two were mad at each other," I grumbled. "This ganging up on me crap is for the birds."

Johnny laughed and finished his drink. "Well boys and girls, I'm off to find me a cuddle buddy for tonight."

"At least learn her name," I called to his retreating back.

He looked at me over his shoulder and winked.

God, I seriously loved that man, but he was such a dog. He was so  handsome and charming though, and most of the girls he brought home  didn't care. He once introduced me to a girl named Kelly and five  minutes later, he called her Katie. I felt outraged for her, but then I  looked at her smiling up at him as if he was a god.

I guess I really wasn't much different than Kelly though. Gabe could do  just about anything he wanted, and I would probably look at him the same  way Kelly looked at Johnny. Totally clueless.

Gabe's lips grazed my neck and that exact feeling of bliss filled me.

"How much longer do we have to stay here?" he whispered in my ear.

"I don't know. Why?"

"I want to rip this fucking dress off of you right now, but I'd kill  every mother fucker in here who got to see your amazing body."

I practically purred as his hand tightened on my hip.

"Everyone else seems pretty distracted. I don't think they will even miss us."

I looked around at our friends, and he was right. Cash had his face  practically buried in the neck of the girl in front of him. Kat and  Blake looked like they were in their own private love bubble. I didn't  think they even remembered that they were in the middle of a club.  Johnny was nowhere to be seen, and I didn't even want to think about  what he probably already had himself into.

I pulled away from Gabe, and he reluctantly let go of me. I put my arms  around Kat's shoulders, and she pulled her attention away from Blake.

"Y'all need to get a room." I smiled at her.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes at me.

"Gabe and I are leaving." I wagged my eyebrows exaggeratingly, causing her to giggle.

She kissed me on the cheek and swatted me on the ass. "Be careful."

I saluted her before spinning around and stepping back into Gabe's space.

"Okay. Let's go. This dress is getting far too heavy."

Gabe's expression instantly darkened, and he stood up quickly before  grabbing my hand. He didn't even say bye to his friends. He just pulled  me out of the club, and I followed behind him. Everyone else seemed to  disappear as I walked behind him, but that's how every moment of my life  seemed to go with Gabe in it. Everyone and everything disappeared but  him.

Climbing into my truck, I could barely control myself when she stepped  into it and her soft back was clearly in my view. The fact that she  didn't have a bra on was making my cock strain in my pants. I wasn't  sure if I was going to be able to make it home. I wanted to rip the  dress off of her body and fuck her right there in the parking lot.

She knew it too. She smiled sweetly when we she was fully seated, but I  knew that she was well aware that my control was about to break. I think  she was trying to drive me crazy.

I pulled into my driveway, and I could feel Erica's eyes on me. She had  never been here before. I didn't particularly like people in my house.  It made me feel like people were too close to the truth. Too close to  the real me.

Erica followed me into my house silently. I think she could sense that  this was a big step for me. I never brought women here. Never. When I  hooked up with a woman, we went to her house, the backseat, or a hotel. I  didn't allow any one-night stand into my space. Erica wasn't a  one-night stand. She was different. Completely different.

Walking into the living room, I flipped on the lights and suddenly felt  uncomfortable. I didn't know what it was about Erica, but she put me  further on edge than I had ever been.

"Do you want something to drink?" I began walking toward the kitchen.

"No, but I would like you to bend me over your couch."

I stopped dead in my tracks and turned to her. She slid the two thin  straps that were holding her dress up off her shoulders and let her  dress pool at her feet. She stood in front of me in nothing but a pair a  bright pink panties and her fuck me heels.

Although she was putting on a damn good show of being confident, I could  see the hesitation in her eyes. It had become one of my biggest  regrets. I wished I hadn't ever given her a reason to ever hesitate  around me.
