Jack fell asleep almost instantly and I rested on his chest, confused about what just happened. He hadn’t answered my question, but whoever Julia was I knew better than to ever ask again. The person he became when I did ask was someone I never wanted to meet again.
The next morning he acted as if nothing had happened. He kissed me, and said that he’d let Donna know I was sleeping in before he left. That was it. No explanation. There was no way I could go back to sleep now, so I walked downstairs, made a pot of coffee, then pulled out the laptop he’d bought me.
Sipping on the warm brew, I went through my email. Most of it was junk, outside of a letter from my sister. We hadn’t seen each other this week and she’d asked me to call to set up lunch. I replied to it and scoured through the others. My eyes widened at the last one.
“You don’t know Jack. If you ever want to find out the truth, write me back. Julia.”
Thank you so much for purchasing Bought for Love. Now that you’ve met Jack, share him with a friend. I know he’s the type of guy that brings out strong emotions, one way or another, but either way please share him. How can you do that? By leaving a review at your favorite place to buy, or find books.
As an author, I can tell you personally that reviews are what make or break us. You have the power to bring your favorite books into the limelight, or watch them fade away into non-existence. So look at Jack’s gorgeous face. Will you turn him away or share him with the world?
To find out about Jack’s second book, visit my links under my biography. Thanks so much for all that you do!
They don’t know Jack, yet. But you do!
