She closed her eyes and listened to the sounds of her heart. It called his name. She put her hand upon his chest. Their hearts beat together. "I do."
"Say it," he pleaded.
Her heart skipped a beat as she thought of the power of the being beneath her. He had made her fall so quickly; he was so much more than a man. And he was all hers. "I love you."
"You don't know how happy that makes me. Only one thing could bring me more joy." He paused. "Tell me you will stay with me forever. Make me the happiest man for all of eternity. Stand by my side and be my wife, my queen-the Queen of Hell."
She would be the one to calm him in the night if the terrors of his day proved to be too much. She would be the one to wipe the sweat from his brow. And in a way, she would be like him, a servant for the greater good. She would never have to return to her mundane office job. Her new role would be difficult, but the rewards of delivering punishment to the truly heinous would bring her joy. Even in Hell, she could be her own woman, a woman who would punish the wicked during the day and bring pleasure at night.
"I will, my love. I will."
He picked her up from the bed and surrounded her with his arms. "I love you, Sarah. I will love you until the end of time."
"I love you too," she whispered into his ear.
He pulled back, and a smirk played across his face. "Would you like a coffee? Two creams, three sugars right?" He tenderly tucked her hair back behind her ear.
"Mike?" Her heart threatened to beat out of her chest as she stared at him. "You … you, the owner of a sex toy company, are the Devil?"
He laughed. "I told you, I must exact punishment, but I also like to bring pleasure."
"A man who promises to bring pleasure?" She smiled impishly. "You will be tested."
He kissed her hand and returned her wicked smile. "As you wish, my queen."
