Alphas on Top(172)

By:Harper Sloan

I rolled to the side, taking her with me. “Love you, baby,” I said against her hair. Her body cuddled deeper into me before she relaxed completely. I laughed when November’s stomach growled loudly. “Sounds like both my babies are hungry.”

“Yeah,” she mumbles.

I rolled her to her back and hovered over her, watching my hand travel down her throat and between her breasts before palming one. “I'm excited for these to get bigger.” I smiled at her small laugh. Then my hand traveled on its own down her body to rest on her stomach. “I'm going to be a dad.” I shook my head in disbelief. I ran my hand over her stomach in amazement. Then I slide down the bed, getting closer to her stomach so I could kiss it.

When our eyes met, I could see everything I felt for her reflected back at me. I started to say some shit that would make me look like a total pussy when her stomach growled again and the moment was broken.

“All right. Daddy’s going to feed you,” I said to her stomach.

We got out of bed and I pulled on a pair of baggy sweats. Then I turned around and smiled when I saw that November was looking at me like she was hungry for a lot more than food.

“I'm going to waddle and you’re going to walk around looking like that?” Her hands did a whole body sweep.

“You’re carrying the life we made together inside of you. Your body growing to take care of our child is amazing. I can’t wait to see you with a big belly,” I told her. I was hard just think about her with a round stomach.

“I love you,” She blurted “I mean, you already know that, but I'm glad that you’re happy about this.”

“Happy is not the word I would use to describe how I feel, baby,” I told her softly

“I know,” she whispered. “This is bliss.”

“Yeah,” I said, cutting the distance between us. “This is bliss.” I framed her face, kissing her nose then her lips.

Until November

Girl #4

“This better be a boy,” Asher says, pacing back and forth in front of me.

I want to laugh, but after what happened the last time we were here, I know better. I had never seen a grown man go into shock before and never want to see it again.

“Will you please sit down? And don’t yell at the doctor when he’s checking me this time,” I tell him, narrowing my eyes.

“I don’t know why he needs to look at you down there,” he says, running his hand over his face. “Can’t he just tell me what he’s looking for and let me look?”

“Oh god, you can’t be serious!” I cry, lying down on the table, covering my face. “I’m going to stop telling you about these appointments.”

“You wouldn’t even have this appointment if it weren’t’ for me,” he says, and I pull my hands away from my face and narrow my eyes at him.

“I would have made an appointment. I have been through this three times already,” I remind him. Just as I’m getting ready to find something to throw at his big fat head, the door opens and Dr. Philip comes in.

“November,” the doctor smiles before looking at Asher and glaring. “Asher, the nurse didn’t say you were in here.”

“He promised to be on his best behavior,” I tell the doctor with a smile.

“I didn’t,” Asher mumbles, and I glare at him.

“So today all we’re doing is checking to see if we can find out what you’re having. Is that right?” Dr. Philip asks, looking at his paperwork.

“That is right.” I smile and look at Asher, who has come to stand next to me.

“All right. Well, let’s see what we can find out,” Dr. Phillip says.

I have been through this so many times that I automatically lie back on the table and lift my shirt up over my small bump. Dr. Philip goes about applying the jelly to my belly and turning on the machine. The sound of a loud heartbeat fills the room, and I look at Asher, who has the look on his face that he always gets when he is with our kids—the look of love. I love that look on him. When I look back at the screen and Dr. Philip, I see that he has gone white and swallows hard.

“What’s wrong?” I ask him, getting worried.

“Maybe it’s too early to tell,” he says, pulling the device off my belly.

“To early to tell what?” I ask

“What’s wrong?” Asher growls this time.

“What?” the doctor asks, taking a step back. “Oh god, it’s nothing bad. I just mean maybe it’s to early to know for sure what the sex is.”

“What did you see?” I grab a towel from next to me and wipe my belly before sitting up.
