“Don’t they look amazing?” She smiled.
“Gorgeous.”
“Fantastic.”
Sara and Darius sighed at the same time. Chris and Michelle twirled at the center of the dance floor, eyes glued to each other. They exuded happiness and love. It was a lovely thing to see.
Her mind played back the events from the past evening. Though they tried not to over do it, she saw the happiness in her mom and step dad now that she’d agreed to stay. Chris and Michelle were over the moon. And for the first time in her life, she had the man she wanted to be with forever.
Darius suddenly perked up in his seat. One of the new enforcers headed toward them. Tall, golden skinned and muscled to boot, he grinned at Darius.
“Have you had a chance to see the flower pads?”
“No, but I’d love to.” He grinned.
Sara stared at a particular new enforcer on the other side of the room. He was busy talking to another girl, but every few moments he’d glance up and he would meet her gaze.
“Go talk to him.”
“Yeah. Like I have a death wish or something,” she muttered. “I’m going to go get another drink. I think I’m probably the only one not getting laid tonight.”
Cici laughed, watching her head for the outside bar.
“Care to dance?” Ryker whispered in her ear. Her body went into instant overdrive.
“With you? Always.”
A slow song played as she curled her arms around his neck. He hugged her tight, running his hands up and down her lower back. Their gazes met and lava heated her aroused core. His lips meet hers in a soft brush. She wanted more.
“Know what I feel like doing?”
His lips tipped up in a sexy grin. “What, my love?”
“Going for a swim.”
His eyes brightened with arousal. Another kiss followed her words. This one opening the doors to the pleasure she knew she’d have soon. Heart near bursting with happiness, she held on to the only man she’d ever loved.
