“God, oh God!” She choked.

He licked at her neck, twirled his tongue in circles over her pounding pulse, and darkness took over the edges of her vision. The tension in her core twined into a ball, a pounding ball ready to break at any moment. Thrust after thrust he slammed into her, hitting the tension with each pound into her pussy. He sucked one of her nipples into his mouth. Bit down. Electricity burst from her nipple to her pussy. The ball cracked. Her world shattered so fast it turned into a blur.

She screamed or moaned. Or something. All she know is that once liquid bliss rushed her system like a direct hit of endorphins into her pleasure center. Her pussy squeezed tight at his cock. Shudders racked her spine. Breaths struggled into her lungs. Muscles felt liquefied and mini explosions continued to go off in her pussy. He pumped harder into her, using their slick bodies to increase speed. His cock thickened inside her, rubbing harder with each slam on her inner walls.

“Ryker…”

His facial lines tightened. For a second she thought he’d shift while still inside her, but he closed his eyes and she saw him struggle to keep his wolf at bay. His eyes snapped open and some of the tension receded from his face.

“You will be mine.” He ground into her a final time and held himself tense. His body vibrated as he groaned his release. Warm semen filled her channel with his essence.

It took a long moment of intense breathing and him holding her against him for her to return to the real world. Uncurling from his gorgeous body, she tried to stand back on her own two feet. What a mess. He helped her stand, held her by her waist until her legs stopped trying to fold under her.

“I’m okay.”

Ryker cupped her cheek. Tipped her head back and frowned. “Are you?”

Lie. Lie. Lie. “Yes.”

Clothes. She had to put on some clothes and she might feel marginally less like an idiot. He stepped back, almost as if he’d known she needed some space. Trying not to think of what had just happened, for fear of freaking out completely, she made her way to the edge with her wet clothes in hand. She struggled into the sticky soaked fabric and muttered about being brain dead. It was her firm belief she was.

“Ciara, what are you doing?”

“Nothing.” Fucking clothes! Why were they so hard to put on when wet? She kept her back to Ryker. She couldn’t fathom looking in the his eyes now that he’d messed her up one hundred percent for any other man. Before. She’d been emotional and had no idea what sex would be like with him. Now, though, she had gotten more than a taste and she was hooked.

Why did life have to be so unfair? She knew better than to get attached to him. For most of her life she’d been giving herself that pep talk to the point she could do it in her sleep.

“We need to talk, sweetheart.” His voice sounded closer so she panicked.

She ran up to the side of the creek and turned around in a flash. Clumps of cold wet hair slapped the side of her face.

He was heading for the spot he’d left his clothes. She had to go. Now. “We don’t need to talk. You need to…” His fully naked body filled her vision. Strong muscles, washboard abs, a bevy of tattoos lined his torso. Her brain screamed for her to go pet those muscles again. She screamed at her brain to stop torturing her. Stupid hormones were what got her into this to begin with. “You stay away from me. I’m not into games.”

Before he said anything, she ran. Trees rushed by her sides. Her clothes clung to her like a second skin and the cool autumn air added a bite to raise the hairs on her arms. Forget her cabin, she ran for Sara’s.

Confusion filled her mind and heart. She knew he’d catch up to her eventually, but right now she needed to think. How could things turn like this on her? Rushing into Sara’s cabin, she bypassed both her and Darius at the living room and ran for her bathroom.

“What the hell?” Sara shouted. “Are you okay?”

“Ciara? What happened to you? You look like someone dumped you in a pool.” Darius said from outside the bathroom door.

“I’m fine. If Ryker shows up, tell him I’m not ready to talk to him just yet.” Cici ordered.

The last thing she needed was for him to say things she never imagined. Like mating. Relationships. Cubs. Christ, she needed a drink.

After a long and mentally draining shower, she put on the clothes Sara left for her on her bed. Her friends knew her so well. They’d left her alone to think. Now she needed them.

Both sat in the kitchen, quiet. They glanced up. Worried frowns marred both their brows.

“I’m fine.” Cici sighed. Sara passed her a cup of coffee and Darius pushed a basket with pastries her way.
