After he stands up, I punch him in the face hard enough for him to tumble over and fall into his desk. He gets up and holds his nose, then uses a shirt that was lying on the floor to hold it against his bloody nose. I know with the wolf genes he’ll heal quick enough but at least he felt the pain even if it only lasts a few minutes. He stands straight but doesn’t attempt to fight back. I’m furious and trying hard to keep my wolf from jumping him right now.
“Drake man! What the fuck? How could you do that? She’s human! She’s not as strong as us, you need to be delicate with her!” I growl out watching him hang his head low then I remember what he said.
“Wait, what scent did you smell?” I use my Alpha tone and it makes his shoulders slump for being chastised by me.
“I know! I’m sorry, I feel so shit. She never cries Jax even when she tells me stories about her father when I'm in my wolf form, she holds everything in. I can see sadness in her eyes but she NEVER cries …and I made her cry! She was so scared of me Jax, she was shaking. She was covered in a couple other wolves scents, a couple males and a distinct female but it could be anyone’s, she wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference between human and wolf, she’s so innocent and naïve…she doesn’t even know that we’re wolves! I can’t believe I did that, I didn’t think I was that rough.” Drake trails off looking at the floor.
“Drake you should see her back and arms man. They’re covered in bruises and she can barely stand up straight! Dude you are so much stronger than her little human body, if you’re going to date her then you need to be able to control yourself when you around her. If you don’t think you can then I don’t want you with her. Do you understand me. I don’t think it will be safe for you to see her.” He starts to stand.
“What? She has bruises? Fuck, I’ve got to go and look after her and tell her how sorry I am –” I grab his shoulder and turn him around.
“Drake, Ronny and I helped her and she’s sleeping now. I love you man, we’re not blood but you’re my brother and you’re going to be my Beta but if you EVER hurt her again, I swear I will hurt you and my wolf will probably end up killing you.” I say with all the anger inside me.
“I will never hurt her again. Jax I don’t ever want to see her cry again. It broke my heart…I need to see her!” I nod and he runs out the room. I tell Ronny through our pack link to come back to the house and not touch Drake even though I know she’s itching to give his ass a beating, she reluctantly agrees and leaves Lexi’s house.
DRAKE POV
I sprint down to Lexi’s house, Ronny comes past me but she gives me a death glare and ignores me, I expect it.
I can’t believe how I hurt my girl, anger just overtook me and not even my wolf could stop the rage from overtaking. Sebastian is upset with me because I hurt her and I fully understand because I hate myself for what I did.
When my wolf noticed how gorgeous Lexi looked in her underwear I had to fight him not to mark her and take her right there. Wolves don’t generally mate with humans because humans aren’t strong enough for the mating process. Wolves won’t be able to reproduce with a human either, the baby usually dies or the mother and the baby die during the months after falling pregnant. This causes wolves to generally reject their human mates because wolves want to reproduce and carry their bloodline.
The first time my lips touched Lexi’s, my wolf took over and was so close to marking her on that couch, my canines extended and grazed her neck. It was really close but I couldn’t risk Lexi’s life, she would never be able to live through the changing process.
The feel of Lexi’s skin on mine and the smell she gives off when she’s aroused is breathtaking it drives my wolf and I wild. I know what I’m doing in bed and a lot of girls will agree with me but I’ve never been with someone so innocent and perfect. Lexi was amazing, I touched her like no other man ever has and I’m so honored she let me. I knew she wasn’t ready for the next step though, this time I just needed to take care of her, show her how much I love her and make her feel good.
I told her I love her when she was sleeping and I meant it.
I slip through the front door and tip toe towards her room, its dark and the curtains are closed. I close the door behind me and with my enhanced eyesight I’m able to adjust quickly to the dark. Lexi is curled up on the one side of the bed with her feet to her chest looking so small and brittle. She’s fast asleep, I take off my clothes keeping my boxers on and climb under the covers behind her. I see she’s only in her underwear and a large shirt, the shirt has crept up though. I start to pull her shirt down to cover her underwear when I notice her skin is dark in areas on her lower back, I lift her shirt gently and see a huge dark blue bruise near her spine. Oh my God….what did I do? I caused her this pain.
