Our chests are rising and falling as we try to catch our breath again.
“Wow…” I say out of breath.
“Yeah babe …, that was intense.” he says as he smiles at me. I giggle and cover my mouth with one hand. He takes my hand and kisses it. He sits up and pulls me onto his lap so effortlessly like I’m a feather.
“Let’s go out on a date? A real one, please Lexi? I want you so bad, please be my girlfriend? I know it sounds like I’m crazy and obsessed and I know this all seems really cheesy but I really wanna be with you, I know we haven’t known each other for all that long but I really do have feelings for you, strong feelings…that I can’t explain and I just feel that I have to have you. I need you babe, you make me so happy when you are around me, please Lexi... be my girlfriend?” he begs as he stares into my eyes.
“Drake, I like you. I know we’ve only known each other for a week and of course I want to be with you but I’ve got to tell you something before we date or anything …because I have a feeling that what I have to say might change your mind…and I'll be okay if-” he interrupts me.
“No babe nothing will change my mind about you ...” he says.
“Okay ….well.” I start off hesitantly. “The thing is… I’m a virgin, and it’s not like I’m saving myself for marriage or anything, I just haven't found anyone worth sharing it with, you know?” I say looking down at our intertwined hands on my lap.
“Lex, that’s great, I don’t have anything against it. We don’t have to rush anything. I know that make out session was something else but it won’t ever go past that if you don’t want it too, and if you do and you want more with me, I’ll be happy and thankful to only oblige.” He says this as his hand touches my cheek and he shows me his dimples with that smile. I melt...
“Thanks, you have no idea how much that means to me, if you honestly mean that then I would love to be your girlfriend.” I say as I smile and feel my cheeks heating.
He gives me another kiss and he tells me how happy he is. He says he’s going to plan something special and next weekend I’m all his.
I love the way that sounds.
After Drake goes home, I climb in my bed, a few minutes later I hear my mom come in and hear her bedroom door close. I start drifting off to a blissful sleep when I hear something tapping against my window. I look at my phone to see the time and it says it’s after two in the morning.
Who could be here at this time?
I sluggishly get out of my comfortable bed, soundlessly walking towards the window hoping mom won’t hear me, moving my curtain to the side I see Jax standing outside with his head down. If I didn’t expect that, I definitely wasn’t expecting to see him with no shirt or shoes on, he’s wearing plain old black gym shorts - nothing else.
Oh, save me.... I can see his perfectly defined six pack, my eyes travel to his face and he's staring at me and his face is filled with emotion, is it sadness? Lust?
No it can’t be…
Without warning he lifts himself onto my windowsill and invites himself into my room pushing me aside…
CHAPTER 10:
JAX POV
The minute I saw her walk into the bar, I thought she was the most beautiful person I have ever seen and I knew that there was something special and different about her, we need to make her ours, my wolf tells me and I surprisingly agree.
As she walked closer and looked around the bar taking in her surroundings, her beautiful eyes showed so much emotion as if she carried the world on her shoulders yet she seemed so innocent.
I watched the mysterious girl the whole night from across the bar, she was looking at our table now and she seemed to be observing my friends that surrounded me. I was sitting with my four friends, Rachel and Mark, who are mates, and Ronny – who is basically my sister yet the fates thought it would be a great idea if we were mates; neither of us believed that we should act on it though and our wolves fully agreed that it definitely wasn’t meant to be.
Ronny was sitting next to the love of her life, her girlfriend Chloe, she knows all about us and she loves Ronny and her wolf Star just as much as they love her.
So basically I’m the fifth wheel tonight, of course my best friend Drake is usually my wing-man since he hasn't found his mate yet but seems like he met a human that he has fallen for, crazy thing is – he has only ever met her in his wolf form and doesn’t even know her name.
He’s not here tonight because he’s gone out to the Waterfall hoping she would show up. That boy is seriously whipped, no doubt I’m happy for him and I guess I’m a little jealous that he’s found someone and feels so strongly for her, even if she is human.
