A Wifey for the Bad Boy(108)

“Fuck…Athena!” he cried out as his cock slipped out of her.

“I can’t tell you how long I have waited for that,” she said in a soft voice.

At the moment, she couldn’t tell but he wanted to talk. He wanted to tell her that he had been holding himself back for the longest time when it came to her but he was too exhausted to say anything.

Chapter 4

Athena would have wanted nothing more than a repeat of what had happened between her and Mason but the next few days had been pretty busy for the office. Even over the weekend. But that was how a legal office worked anyway. There was always hostile takeovers and bitter divorces. To make matters even worse for her, Mason spent most of the next week travelling. It was especially hard on her because even though there was no relationship to define as yet, she was having a hard time not thinking about him. All she wanted was to be in his arms again. Let him claim her over and over until she could just not wait to be in his arms again. And even though Mason and Athena had not been busted in their little ‘official’ rendezvous in his office, Athena could not help but feel awkward because she kept on stealing little glances at him since then…and the meetings were the worst because all that she could think of was just being with him again. And who could blame her? He had proven himself more than capable of handling a young woman in her prime.

Athena had just sat down at her desk when she heard her phone vibrating in her purse. She pulled it out and looked at the screen, a wide grin on her face. It was a text from Mason after almost four days of being completely silent.

Hello beautiful. Hope you’ve missed me as much as I have missed you. How about a breakfast date?

She gently ran her thumb over her phone screen as she looked at the Styrofoam cup in front of her.

Of course I have. Breakfast sounds great but I already have my morning coffee staring at me.

She leaned back in her seat and sighed as she sent the text. There was something about Mason that made her feel like a giddy schoolgirl. It was just minutes before she got another text.

Coffee is barely enough to begin your day. You need so much more than just caffeine.

A smile played on Athena’s lips as she typed her reply.

I was planning on getting a breakfast burrito so there is that.

She was a little too excited to even notice her workmates walking by. The office was already abuzz with activity but nothing else was happening around her as far as she was concerned.

Ditch your breakfast plans and drive to 141 Penn State Avenue. The doorman will let you up.

Athena raised an eyebrow over the other as she read the last text over and over again.

“141 Penn State Avenue,” she wondered as she gently drummed her fingers on the desk. “That’s Stonebridge Deluxe.”

Stonebridge Deluxe was a five star hotel downtown and Athena did not understand why he would be there. She knew for a fact that he had a town house on the outskirts of town and a penthouse at the Intercontinental Hotel plaza. A smile played on her lips as she shook her head. For a minute there she had actually forgotten what the life of the rich and the famous was.

I have work to do, remember? Besides, the day just began.

She took a sip of her coffee and another text came in.

And I am your boss…I don’t think there would be any problem with you walking out of there.

She sighed silently and shook her head.

What about the other associates at the firm?

His reply made her smile.

Right now it’s all about me and you. Just walk out and come over. Remember 141 Penn State Avenue. I’m waiting.

Athena didn’t need any second bidding. She picked up her purse and coffee and began walking towards the elevator. She dumped her coffee in a bin near the elevator and then pressed the button, her heart racing. She could hardly believe that she was actually ditching work to go see her…boyfriend? Lover? She didn’t even know what they were but it didn’t really matter to her.

When she got to Stonebridge Deluxe, she went up to the VIP suite and gently knocked on the door.

“There you are,” Mason said when he opened the door. She smiled and walked into the room. As soon as she was inside, he slipped an arm around her waist and pinned her against the door making her gasp. She closed her eyes when he gently claimed her lips in one long, searching kiss. She was almost breathless by the time he pulled away.

“I missed you,” he said as he gently caressed the side of her face.

“I missed you too,” she said in a soft voice.

“I got room service to send over a proper breakfast,” he said, still a few inches from her face. She looked at the trolley in the living room and even from that distance, she could tell that he had taste when it came to food. He had been right to think that a breakfast burrito wouldn’t cut it because the trolley was full of exotic fruit, perfectly crispy bacon, at least two types of freshly squeezed fruit juices and waffles.
