A Mate for York(24)

By:Charlene Hartnady

Sure to keep the suction on him just right, not too hard and not too soft, she opened her throat and took him deeper. Fighting the gag reflex in a big way. It was worth it. She watched as his eyes widened, as his mouth widened so that he could suck in more air. His hands clawed the sheets. “Whatever you do, don’t stop,” he growled. “You are so fucking beautiful.” Another deep growl. “I love your mouth on me.” He clenched his teeth as she deep throated him again.

“I’m not going to last.” Sweat beaded on his brow. She picked up the pace, alternating between sucking on his head and taking him down her throat.

Within a half a minute she felt his hand stroke the top of her head. “I’m going to…” he growled pushing her away.

Cassidy moved quickly. Their eyes were still locked as he grabbed his cock, pumping it with his fist in hard, even strokes. The other hand was closed over his tip. She watched as his eyes glazed over. Every muscle corded and he crunched forward. His teeth were clenched as he groaned softly. Most of his cum squirted into his hand but some dripped onto his stomach. York fell back, chest heaving. “I just need a half a minute to recover.”

Disappointment hit. Then he would leave. She didn’t want him to leave just yet. “Take your time,” she whispered.

York smiled at her. “Let me clean up this mess. I’ll be back in a second.”

“Here, take a few of these.” She grabbed a few tissues from her bag at the side of the bed.

“Yeah, we wouldn’t want any accidents. No one must find out I was here.” He grabbed the tissues and used them to clean the worst of the mess before pushing them against his member and heading for the bathroom.

Holy hell!

His butt was amazing. Made for grabbing during hot sex. It was well muscled and sculpted to perfection. Why did the hottest, sweetest guy she’d ever met have to be an off-limits vampire? Why? Why was she even thinking of him in terms of a boyfriend? Maybe because she didn’t have random sex. The thought of what she had just done made her feel a little light headed.

She also suddenly felt naked and wrapped a blanket around herself. There was the sound of running water followed by the toilet flushing. York came back into the room. Oh wow, he was still semi erect.

York gave her a mischievous half smile, he’d probably noticed her checking out his junk. Instead of getting dressed like she expected, he slid into bed next to her and pulled her into his arms.

What!

Why?

She had to bite down on her lip when he removed the blanket so that she was flush against his side. Skin to skin. It didn’t mean anything. He was probably vying for another blowjob or something.

“You seem a little tense. Do you need me to…”

“No!” It came out a little too harshly. “I mean…um…it’s just that we don’t know each other and this feels a little awkward all of a sudden. It’s not you or anything…I don’t normally do things like this.”

His chest vibrated as he chuckled softly. “Tell me something about yourself then. Maybe it would make you feel better.”

She shrugged. “I don’t know what to say. I’m nearly thirty…” She smiled. “Next month, I’ll hit the big three, zero.”

“Why are you not mated? Am I right in saying that most human females are settled by thirty?”

Her first instinct was to bristle at his words but then she realized that he was just being his normal honest, forward self and she took a deep breath instead.

“Why do my questions anger you?” Maybe he didn’t know that he was doing it, but he began to stroke her back. His big, warm hands felt good on her like this even though they shouldn’t. Maybe it was because it had been so long since someone had touched her like this.

Cassidy shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess because I thought I would be married…mated at thirty. I was married but…” She let the sentence die.

His arms tightened around her for a second before he released his hold. She could feel how tense he had become. “I had heard that humans sometimes take several mates throughout their lives. It is hard for us vampires to understand. Were you not happy with your chosen mate?” he sounded angry.

This time she did allow herself to feel pissed at his words and pulled away. “My husband died so you can stop looking at me like I’m something the cat dragged in.”

“I’m not sure what a cat has to do with it,” he growled. “I’m so damned sorry.” He hauled her back into his arms, pulling her tight against him. One of his big hands cupped the side of her head while the other curled around her waist. He hugged her tight, burying his head into her hair for a while. “That can’t have been easy. No wonder this has been difficult for you. I’m so sorry.” He rubbed her back. This time with harder strokes designed more to soothe than to pleasure.
