A Little Harmless Fantasy(21)

“Maura,” Zee said as he joined them on the bed. He kissed her as Rory continued on to her ear.

“Guys,” she said holding up her free hand in protect.

They pulled back and waited. Rory’s gut tightened as they waited. Maura studied them and he could tell nothing from her expression. Her cheeks were flushed but her mouth was unsmiling.

Rory could feel Zee’s anticipation shimmering in the air and it urged Rory’s need to new heights.

She looked from one of them to the other then a small, slow smile curved her lips. His breath tangled in his throat as she held out her hands.

“Okay.”

Chapter Five

Zeke’s heart almost stopped at the sound of that one little word. No one said anything for a moment, but he was sure they were all shocked. That might be the wrong word but he had hoped for this moment for so long his mind took a second to assimilate. His body had no problem responding. Lust and love rushed through his blood as his heart smacked hard against his chest. Lord, he was amazed that everyone didn’t hear it. Zeke just couldn’t help it. The fact that she agreed was the one dream he thought would never happen and now, just like that, he had the two people he loved most in the world in his bed.

“So…” Maura said. It was easy to hear the nerves in her voice. He wasn’t accustomed to seeing her unsure of herself. He knew she always had doubts, but she hid them so well, he never really saw them. That alone told him how worried she was about this.

He glanced at Rory who smiled at him then looked at Maura. As lovers, he and Rory had done this before, but this was different. He sensed it more than probably both of them, but he knew Rory understood. His lover might not be ready to admit it, but Zeke knew it was going to change everything. It was something he had been worried about, but now…none of that seemed to matter. Her agreement seemed to dissolve the worries he had. All that did matter was Maura and Rory.

“There’s no reason to be nervous, love,” Rory said, his voice a low hum.

Zeke studied him, surprised by his soothing tone. Rory had always been good with women, but normally, they didn’t initiate anyone. He had added another level of reassurance to his voice that told Zeke he knew this was something special.

Granted, Maura wasn’t a true initiate. He knew for her, she would have studied BDSM to the extreme. The rumors of whom she had worked with had reached him. It hadn’t been easy to ignore what had been going on, but he had for both their sakes. They had already called it quits by that time, so it hadn’t been any of his business.

Still, working with a Dom was different than putting it into practice. Even if she had, she was still a novice and every experience was different based on the people involved. No matter how many relationships she had been in, this one would be different. Rory and Zeke were different. Their needs were unique and many women didn’t go for it. And apparently, Maura had some reservations. His bold, take anything on Maura clutched the sheet as if it was a magic shield. Apprehension etched her features.

He shifted his weight from one foot to another and she looked up at him. She was rumpled, her face flushed and she looked so damned unsure of herself. His heart melted right there. The fact that she could show him her worry meant they had moved another big step. Damn, he loved the woman. He could have died right there and been the happiest man on earth. He cupped her face and leaned forward to brush his mouth over hers.

“We’ll go slow. You tell us if we push you too far.”

She drew in a deep breath and nodded. Then, she leaned into him and deepened the kiss. Just like always, she took him by surprise. She was anxious but she was a woman who never second-guessed herself. Once she made a decision, Maura jumped in headfirst.

He slipped his tongue into her mouth and she took it willingly. He was soon losing himself inside her. From the first time he had kissed her it had been like this. It was how he had known they had something special. No one other than Rory had really affected him this way.

Zeke pulled back and smiled at the picture she made. Her lips were swollen and wet; her eyes were still closed. God, she was a delight. Zeke forgot just how much she loved kissing.

Rory leaned forward on the bed and kissed her neck, then slipped his fingers beneath her shirt and pulled it over her head, tossing on the floor behind him. She wasn’t wearing a bra. Of course she wasn’t.

“How did you concentrate at work knowing she looked like this,” Rory said, admiration vibrating in his voice.

Zeke smiled at Maura’s blush. “It was pretty hard at times.”

Rory grinned at him and Zeke caught the double entendre. He chuckled as he watched Rory settle on the bed behind her. He brushed her hair aside and kissed her neck again. The sight of the two of them sent another jolt of need racing through him.
