"You gonna give me a hand job under the table?" he leaned in to whisper against my ear.
"Do you want a hand job under the table?" I asked with a smile.
"You've turned me into an insatiable monster, you know that right?"
"That's about how I feel too. When was the last time you were with someone..?" I asked him.
"It's been months. Pathetic I know, but I just want one woman in particular, not a bunch of slutty, easy girls."
"I'm a slutty, easy girl," I pointed out.
"Lacy, don't be ridiculous. You might be slutty and easy with me for whatever reason, and with Will, but you don't go around sleeping with a different guy every weekend."
"Yeah, I sleep with two at the same time on the weekend," I joked, making his face light up with desire.
"Can we do that again this weekend too?" he asked. Now he was turned towards me, and it was his hand sliding higher and higher up my thigh. He already knew for a fact that I wasn't wearing any panties.
"Maybe. I'll ask Will," I assured him. "So is she here?"
"Yes. Almost straight across and in perfect sight."
I nodded but knew better than to look. Instead, I leaned forward to kiss Joe. I grabbed the lapels of his suit jacket as our lips met and tongues barely teased naturally and softly in and out of each other's mouths. Nothing too over the top, just a lazy flick here, and a brush of lips there.
"Why is this so uncomplicated between us?" Joe asked when I pulled back.
I shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe because we're being honest about what this is."
"No strings attached, hard-core fucking?" he leaned in and asked against my ear, making me shiver.
"Exactly."
"But it's really good. Like insanely good."
"Yeah it is. Which is why we both want to keep doing it," I responded with a smile.
His breathing grew more rapid and his eyes darkened as he glanced down at my breasts. "I feel like a horny teenager, wanting to keep rubbing one off, over and over again nonstop with you."
Now my own arousal was flaring, seeing him getting turned on. "I want you to take me hard and punish me, for what I don't know and don't care. I just … I just … "
"Want it to hurt so good?" he offered.
"Yes," I said in an exhale, surprised at how well he understood me and all my newly discovered perversions.
Joe came out of the seat an instant later, stretching across me to grab the arm of the passing waitress. "Can we get our food boxed up to go and our check ASAP, please?"
The waitress looked down at our empty table and then at us. "But...but you're food's not out yet."
"Yeah, well, as soon as it's ready we'd like to get it to go," Joe explained.
"I'm so sorry it's taken so long. I can go check on it. It shouldn't be much longer," she began apologizing frantically, thinking we were upset with our service.
"Don't worry. You've been great," I told her to calm her down. "We just remembered something we need to take care of back at the office."
Her eyes widened like she knew exactly what I was covertly referring to. "I'll be right back," she said before scuttling away.
"You're the best fuck buddy ever," Joe said with a laugh, nuzzling his nose against my neck. "Come home with me tonight. I already know one more time today isn't going to cut it."
"Okay," I agreed.
"Hell yes. Maybe if we fuck all night long we can get whatever this is out of our system, and my dick will finally settle down enough for me to think."
"Maybe," I said, but I didn't have any hope that would actually work. In fact, I think our personal magnetism was getting stronger after each fucking. I felt like I was getting a little more lost with each round too. It was both a good and a bad feeling. Good in that being with Joe was incredible, but bad because I felt like I was losing Will.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Joe asked, grabbing my chin to tip it up to meet his stunning blue eyes.
"I just, I don't know what I'm doing with you or why. It makes me feel depraved and scarily adrift, but I don't want to stop."
"Don't worry. I'm certain this wickedness is only temporary. You'll be tired of me and go back to being a good little girl again in no time."
I laughed, wondering if that was true and if that was what I wanted. I knew I still wanted to be with Will, and I didn't want to hurt him, but I wasn't ready to be in a serious relationship with just one person. The idea of facing a commitment, trusting a man not to cheat on me or hurt me, scared the ever-loving shit out of me.
"So, are you going to talk to them on the way out?" I asked, referring to the table of prosecutors.
"Yeah, I guess. There's no pretending I didn't see them since we have to walk right by their table to get to the exit," he said, rubbing a hand through his hair. "I know!" he suddenly exclaimed. "I'll introduce you. You'll be a good excuse to stop and talk."
"What?"
"They all know your dad. He talks about you to everyone who'll listen."
"Really?" I asked in surprise.
"Yeah. Now I wish I would've paid more attention," he said with a smile.
"Here you go. So sorry for the delay," our waitress said, sounding like she had actually been running around to get our pizza for us.
"Thanks," Joe replied. He opened his wallet and pulled out way more than enough, then stuffed it into the leather bill holder, handing it back to her with a smile.
I slid out of the booth and waited for him to get out and lead the way. After grabbing our pizza box he started for the side door exit.
"Hey guys, how's it going?" Joe asked when we got to the table full of prosecutors. There were three women and two men. I quickly guessed which woman was Joe's crush based on the way her cheeks reddened when she looked up at him. She wasn't as unaffected as he thought she was.
They greeted him with "Hi, Joe" and "Joe Cool" which I knew was their nickname for him.
"Have you all met Jim's daughter yet?" he asked, putting an arm around my waist and pulling me to his side, while balancing the pizza in the other hand. "Lacy, meet some of our best Assistant DA's. This is Josh Howell, Frank James, Katie Albright, Victoria Jacobs and Teresa Vincent. Everyone, this is Lacy Pierce."
I smiled and nodded at each one. "It's nice to meet you all."
"Does Jim know that you've had your hands … and mouth … all over his daughter?" I think the one Joe called Frank asked with a chuckle. Good, so they had been watching us.
"Hell, it was his idea," Joe said. I tried to hide my surprise. "Lacy finally ended things with her asshole ex, Zack Bradford, after she graduated. While she's back home she's working for me, helping out and looking for something more permanent in journalism."
"Zack Bradford? Like the Zack Bradford, quarterback for the Wildcats?" the woman with a pale blonde, shoulder length bob asked in awe.
"The one and the same," I responded.
"Wow, you're a lucky girl."
"Yeah, well, I'd say I'm even luckier now. You ready to head back, Joe?" I asked, leaning into his side and rubbing my hand down his washboard stomach suggestively.
"Hell yes," he said, with a genuine smile lighting up his face.
"See you at your guy's bond hearing at two," the woman with short brown hair laughed, Teresa, I think Joe had said her name was. "And just FYI, it's not getting lowered."
"We'll see about that," Joe replied with challenge. "He's got a clean record and had already enrolled in drug counseling before he got locked up."
"Uh-huh," she said with a good natured eye roll and a smile.
"Joe Cool is ever the cocky optimist," the pretty redhead, Katie, spoke for the first time, narrowing her eyes at Joe. "Don't forget about your man's probation violation hearing in the morning. There's nothing you can do to change the fact that he won't be seeing daylight again for years."
"Right, got it. Lacy won't let me forget, will you?" he asked. I shook my head and made a mental note to check his calendar. "See you guys later," he said. We finally made it out to the sidewalk.
"She likes you, you know," I told him as we walked quickly back to the office.
"Who? Katie?" he laughed and shook his head. "She despises me."
"I don't think so. I think it's an act so you won't see how much she wants you."
"Doubtful, but thanks for the flirting. It couldn't hurt."
"Sure. Did you mean what you said? About my dad?"
"What about him?"
"That he told you he wanted you to date me?" I asked.
"Yeah, he did. I thought I told you. That's right, I told Will while you were soaking in his bath tub."
"My dad said something about you to me too, I just didn't know he'd broached the subject with you."
