“Ronny? What is it? What aren’t you saying? “I ask her nervously.

She lets out an unlike Ronny squeal and gives me a big hug almost dropping our food. “Okay well I wasn’t going to say anything because I wanted everything to just unravel by itself but I just can’t keep it in anymore… you’re all Drake’s been talking about, asking us questions, he liked you from the first time he saw you and he’s been driving us nuts like every day, my gosh..” then her eyes widen like she said something she shouldn’t have.

“Wait? What do you mean “everyday”? Today was the first time I met him?” I say slowly trying to figure out what she meant.

“Oh sorry, I meant …um…all day today.” she stutters.

Something’s not right here, with all the whispers that have been going on and looks they give each other when I’m around, it’s obvious they’re keeping something from me…

Ronny’s phone goes off and she hurriedly says her goodbyes and rushes out the door.

I clean up the kitchen and work on some homework. Jumping into bed that night, thinking about the day I had and all the little remarks my friends have been saying and brushing it off as if they were mistakes – I know something is not right.

CHAPTER 8:

The rest of the week flew by, Drake and I became closer and not once did I see the “other side” to him that Ronny said he had. I’m doing well in school and I made a couple new friends. The girls that I saw on my first day of school, the ones that were hanging around Jax, keep throwing snotty glances my way and snickering to each other when I walk by.

I kept it to myself but I just about had enough. It was after gym class on a Friday and we were getting changed in the locker rooms so we can go home. I heard them mentioning by name followed by their squeaky pathetic laughs, so I went up to Bimbo Barbie and asked her what her problem was. You see “Bimbo Barbie” was the slutty blond that was hanging all over Jax the first day of school in her cheerleading outfit that barely covered anything.

She looked quite shocked that I actually confronted her, and she replied.

“Well ….you see… my problem is YOU. I don’t know who you think you are, coming to MY school and taking Drake and Jax away from us. I think it’s best you stay away from them and leave them to us girls who can ACTUALLY handle them.” she winks at me and looks at her friends.

Her friends snicker as she continues with her pathetic rambling, I fold my arms over my chest and listen, I really don’t give a shit about what she has to say but I’m going to listen and when she’s done, I’ll say my piece whether they want to listen or not.

“Do you honestly think those two will find you attractive, especially with all those tattoos all over you and those piercings, it’s disgusting! Like I said before leave them the fuck alone, you can’t handle them and they are too perfect for a low life like you – you think we don’t know who you are? You’re just trailer trash just like your emo-friend you hang out with or that no good slutty momma of yours!” With that I cut her off and got in her face, I grab the side of her hair and pushed her into one of the metal locker room doors.

I’m shorter than her so I bring her a little down so that she's slouched, her cheek is against the locker and I can feel her trembling in shock. Of course none of her friends jump into rescue her but I can hear their grasps in shock at what I just did. Just what I thought. I also hear the distinct laughing coming from Ronny behind me. I calm myself before I do something I might regret. I’ve got her in a tight grip. Yeah daddy taught me well., I put my mouth near her ear as I whisper but since the hole locker room is quiet now I’m guessing everyone heard what I had to say.

“NEXT time you wanna argue with me, don’t dare be a fucking coward and bring my family or the people I love into it. You honestly think I give a fuck if you got a problem with me? I DON’T, I couldn’t care less - you and your little pathetic friends are really starting to annoy the living shit outta me. And as for Drake and Jax? Honey.... I think you need to realize that I don’t take orders from ANYONE, and I’m sure they find the whole “Bimbo Barbie” thing you and your friends got going on attractive, I mean you guys really don’t leave anything to the imagination now do you – what you see is what you get? Yeah that's about right – no fucking brains and an easy lay!” I say with sarcasm, dripping from my mouth and hear more laughs from behind me.

“Whoever thinks that is attractive clearly can’t get a REAL WOMAN, a woman that hasn’t hooked up with the whole Football Team.” I tighten my grip in her hair to get my last point across and she yelps in pain as her face goes harder into the metal door.
